Just for fun... "technically", if you will, "Artificial Intelligence systems" would actually include "Deus Ex Machina", the leader of the Machines, the primemover AI (the face talking to Neo). The Matrix is actually the "digital" environment in which all the AI's primarily exist. Along with residing in the Matrix, Deus Ex Machina created the Machine City, and assembles his own a physical form (the face), to exist in the Real World, just like the Squiddies and Zion exist in the real world. |
