I've never seen Jaws. I don't believe in sharks.

You can't mean that. Part slasher movie, part adventure movie it was the first movie to break the $100m mark at the box office. From the cello playing shark to the Robert Shaw crafty old sea dog character, it's amazing!

Now, the sequals on the other hand, are absolutely dreadful. If we started a thread 'Which series of movies has the biggest gulf in quality between the first movie and subsequent sequals?', Jaws would be top of the list.

I mean it, I really hate it. Sharks dosn't have that kind of behavior.

Surely the first victim's demise was quite scary.

I heard that when they shot that scene they used ropes to pull her back and forward through the water, with a burly man at one end and a second burly fellow at the other taking it in turns to pull. This didn't work too well and when they both pulled at the same time they broke several of her ribs. So, when you see her being dragged about screaming '...it hurts, it hurts...', she isn't acting, it actually hurts:D Probably a myth.

Also, Robert Shaw grew up about 15 miles from where I live. Pretty boring stuff really but thanks for listening:)
