I didn't say that... The point that I was making was that Freddy's weakness (when he DOES kill) is that he has to do so through the dreams of his victims... If Jason doesn't dream (or if he's in Hell instead of some plane of reality that allows dreaming - that's to assume that Hell doesn't allow dreaming - but who knows), then Freddy would have an immediate weakness against Jason in a battle... But at the beginning of the movie (from my recollection), Freddy came to Jason in his (dream?) to make him kill again (because Freddy could not become a physical manifestation).

Which brings another question... If Freddy originally awakens Jason to kill teens in this plane of reality (as opposed to the dreamscape), doesn't that imply Freddy's innate weakness from the onset? How could he possibly win against Jason?!

So it would be a reward for him... So Jason's demise would contradict the ultimate purpose of Hell (to punish the wicked)... Would that make Jason greater than Heaven, Hell, and Everything? Would that make him some kind of God? :p

What about Blake? Freddy emerged and put his claw into Blake's chest in an attempt to kill him but nothing happened, wasn't until Mark that Freddy got his groove back.

Freddy vs. Jason never really happened (within the cannon of the story. Obviously it never REALLY happened). The whole thing was Jason in hell. He was killing because of his mother, not because he got a kick out of it. If not for her and the events of the first F13 movie, he wouldn't be killing anybody. So he goes to hell and ends up having to kill for someone else and is basically powerless to fight against it.

Either that or it did happen, and Jason was given a more tangible, waking hell. Remember, Freddy apparently became some kinda demon (or was always a demon if FvsJ is going by the New Nightmare cannon) so it's not out of the question that he'd have some power in hell.

So what if his mum just died in a car crash before she took her revenge, what do you think Jason would have done?

Gone and got a job at the local tourist bureau... I think he would have ended up going physco anyway.

So, what, we just disregard what is arguably the central event in the history of the character? Who cares what would've happened if she didn't die the way she did? That's the way it was written. It's the motivation given for the character's actions, regardless of what Dumb Fuck Aussie thinks about it.

i voted for jason. i never really got into the freddy films - the first just seemed silly and the rest just got sillier, even cartoonish. now f13 was always a bit silly but somehow i liked jason and prefer his lack of dialogue.

maybe the better question would be - which franchise got stupider - or, for that matter, maybe a good contest would be when did each franchise 'jump the shark' - oooo i like it - i'm going to start htis in the general forum!!

Racist? Since when is Australian a race? Unless Australia, Ireland, and Scotland got together and decided to make "Alcoholic sloppy seconds from England" a race.

But I have nothing against the fact that you're Australian. I take offence to the fact that you're an idiot.
