Of course, I'm sure it's different in different states...

In Kentucky, it's difficult to find someone who will perform the *surgery if you don't have at least one kid...

In Ohio, it's difficult to find someone to do it if you don't already have TWO kids...

Unless you're over 30

*It only takes 10 minutes, and a shot to numb the area, WITH a scalpel...actually, it's more like a crochet needle and a pair of scissors...They almost always do it on a Friday here, so you can heal over the weekend and don't miss any work...It's unbelievably simple

Anyway...Good luck :)

Yep..BR is correct. I had a Vasectomy a few years back, in Indiana. They will not do it if you dont have at least one child.

Once again today,

WTF

I won't speak in any metaphors.

S wants to have a vasectomy so that he can have an eventful love life without havinv to worry about having children because he doesn't want to have children. I don't know the exacts of the process, but should he ever want to reverse it, he can.

Though for right now, he could enjoy a fruitful lovelife without producing any fruit. ...And there's me saying I wasn't going to use any metaphores.

I bet you $5m he has no intention of going through with it, and this is primarily an attention seeking thread.

In the nicest possible way, of course.

I bet you 5.5 that you're wrong.

Is it possible that a person can discuss something openly on this forum without some one else acussing that person of trying to garner attention? I mean, if it's not, say so now so that we'll all know beforehand.

I'll take that bet.

I think the main issue here is gambling.

I don't like kids, nor do I want to raise kids. So I'm getting a vasectomy. I've found a doctor that performs non-scalpel vasectomies that's 3 minutes from my house, I'm getting a consultation, and hopefully sometime this year (I have to save up and have no steady income) I'll get the vasectomy. Yay for me.
Good for you. Children are annoying and repulsive.

It's not a hysterectomy that women get done, those are two different things. I'm getting a tubal and i have read that it is much easier for a man to do this than what i'm doing. I think if a person really does not want/like kids they should do it. I think it is better than having a kid that you DO NOT want.

I've had a hysterectomy already, and I'm aware that tubal ligation is equivalent to a vasectomy....unfortunately, my hysterectomy was out of necessity and not choice, and is completely irreversible....things happen in life and there's not a lot to be done about them....and at least there's no period anymore....:)
