E_C has a point in all honesty. Do we keep ourselves on the side of right by becoming what we hate and fear?

If not, then what is the solution? I really honestly don't see how preaching peace and goodwill is going to do any good. These folks seem oblivious to compassion and kindness.

So now what? I mean, in England you get the same sentiment that we had over in the States: Oh hell no! I know you didn't just blow up something in MY country! How should we respond? Are our leaders doing enough? Can we as citizens help without this becoming another Witch-Hunt/Inquisition?

I just don't know.

They don't know who all of them are, in this country and the next. It's events like this that make triggers for the intel, to 'actually' increase their efforts into hunting these groups down...it should be on a pre-preventative scale and not this way round after the attacks have happened.

As for the known targets, such as Hook, and yes human rights will always get in the way when it's just 'Preaching'.... freedom of speach and all that. Why do you think government rushed through the new law regarding Preaching attacks etc that have a negative effect on this country... Hook wasn't arrested just because of US demands. He was detained primarily after the law that took the extremist off of the streets. It was known he had links with terrorism, but it wasn't confirmed untill being detained, as to the extent of what he had been and what he was up to.

This is all I realy want to say on the matter....I don't want yesterdays events to be a catalist for a heated debate.
