I just watched An American Werewolf in London and really loved it. I thought it was really well acted, directed and alltogether pulled off. Definately up there in my top horror movies.

By far my favorite werewolf film. The transformation scene is still the absolute best, in my opinion. Oh and I love some of the morbid humor, it manages to be both funny and disturbing (one scene really grabbed me). Glad you enjoyed it.:D

Yah, I agree. It was just very enoyable from all points.

London of course, no contest. Hilarious movie, incredible effects for the time. I especially love the dreams.

London is the BEST werewolf film ever... it even has Rick Mayall in (English comedian for people who haven't heard of him)

The scene in the London underground is very unsettling: as the city gent gets off the train - surrounded by people - he quickly finds himself alone in a deserted station... and slowly but surely the wolf catches up with him on the escalator (note how we don't see much of the creature during the build up to the chap's demise - remember the overhead shot of it walking into frame? - which adds to the suspense).

extremely effective ... nice contrast where everything is stark white - we're supposed to be safe in the light ..
