I came off sounding more crass than I should've on this post before knowing all the facts. I am not a great fan of Pantera or whatever his new band's name is, but he sure as hell never asked to be gunned down on stage in any life, shape or form.
I didn't mean any disrespect to him or his surviving members in my original post. I thought he got into it with some douchebag about whatever and might've had it coming to him. After hearing everyone and their mom basically say he was the coolest guy you would ever meet as a "rock star", I now regret saying anything about the guy last night in my Jagermeister induced post.
Aftedr getting into a mix with some dude myself tonight, I can see how easily a misunderstanding can be the end of your world (mind you I'm the eaSIEST m.f. you will likely meet in your life).

I do read newspapers, and watch the news. I meant to me it's the worst news of the year so far. He was one of the last great guitar players along with Zakk Wylde. Nobody can touch those two. Most metal bands anymore don't play solos. To me it is a huge tragedy and to me it's the worst news of the year so far....

I don't listen to metal anymore. But Metal and solo's go together like Peanut butter and Jelly. I thought there was to many solo's in metal. They sounded all alike. But thats me.
