The Signal
 

THE SIGNAL is an apocalyptic movie in the same vein as Romero. It has three parts each directed by a different director. It uses nonlinear narrative and subjective point of view in a manner that truly disturbs. I like disturbing films; however, I'm glad they are all not as disturbing as THE SIGNAL.

The Decline Of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years

Christ I forgot how terrible 99% of glam metal was! This documentry has a bunch of stupid looking and sounding douchbags.

Some pretty cool interviews with Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Lemmy, Aerosmith and the infamous scene with Chris Holmes from W.A.S.P make it a pretty decent watch.

I was going to wait for the DVD release before seeing this, but its at my local drive-in ......so I may just give it a shot...it will go down better with a few beers.

Yes, THE SIGNAL is disturbing in a good way!
 

It took me awhile to write about the film because it really kind of got to me; very few films have ever done that. THE EXORCIST is an example of one. I put THE SIGNAL on that level. The horror snob in me loves everything about it, but the kid in me was freaked out. Any film that disturbs me has to be great. I need to watch THE EVIL DEAD II to clear my head! Nihilism is cool ,but not all the time.

Diary of the Dead


couldn't finish it, [REC] is sooo much better. I'm not saying Diary of the Dead is bad, it just pales in comparison.

^ Agreed. But I finished Diary, I saw it before REC. But I wasn't that fond of it in the first place. It was merely okay.

I really enjoyed Diary of the Dead. I just thought it was way better then Land and anything that can do that is fine with me.

just recently bought this. watched it today for the third time.
gets better and better with each viewing.

I finally saw [REC], and I'll wait until I see a "real" dvd before making a real judgment but I preferred Diary.

Underwhelming really, I'd rather watch Kentucky Fried Movie or Amazon Women on the Moon even. I was expecting much more.

Great Roger Corman production. I've watched about 10 minutes of YOR,THE HUNTER FROM THE FUTURE and I just can't. Back when I smoked mother nature this would have been alot of fun, however. Yes, it's so bad that it's good.:D
