The Incredible Hulk

I am so glad they actually made this flick. I was extremely let down by Ang Lee's version of the film that I figured the Hulk was dead and their wouldn't be another flick in a long time. Cut to five years later and here we are and boy is it worth it. Great action, good story telling, and the acting is pretty solid as well. Not as good as Iron Man but good enough to play ball with it and the way they are building up for The Avengers is amazing!!

7.5/10

Enchanted- ADORABLE!!
The lead was kind of a shock.
I would have thought youth-obsessed Disney would have picked a younger, prettier princess...*shrug*... but she was delightful and my jaw muscles hurt after the movie from all the smiling I did at the cutesy, cutsey scenes.
Every woman's girlish desire was sated...except for random shots of ponies and unicorns:)

The Wolf Man (1941)

The more I watch this one, the more I think that it might overthrow Dracula as my favourite Universal monster flick...awesome, awesome movie.

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)

First time that I attempted to watch this since seeing the real thing on Broadway last year...I knew that it obviously wouldn't stack up to the Broadway version, but I didn't think that it'd be this hard to watch...there really is no going back, I'm afraid.

IggysPinkTights 06-13-2008 07:14 PM

The Strangers and it was awful.

Yeah I watched like 30 minutes of it before Hulk and it was pretty bad.

The Last Boy Scout.

Nice and cheesy action flick which has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. Still pretty entertaining after all these years...good to revisit those delightful moments of the past. Solid entertainer.

Rating - * * * ½

Friday the 13th.

Psycho meets Halloween, and successfully. Everyone's favorite Mama has a wickedly good time bumping off gullible and unsuspecting teenagers before losing her head. And the singularly odd thing - not a hint, whiff, trace or mark of Jason. Makes the 10 sequels look kinda pointless.

THE FURY and THE INCREDIBLE HULK.

THE FURY was way better than I remember it in 78; really alot of cool old school practical gore effects; THE INCREDIBLE HULK is the best horror film of the year.

The Happening is supposed to be awful. Worst reviews of his career.
I'm done defending Shama-what-the-fuck-ever. He's a hack, and he got lucky.

The Incredible Hulk

Holy Shitballs! This one kicked a ton of ass. The pathos was there, the rage was there, the romance was there, the action was character motivated, Bruce got a great hero moment, there were allusions to Captian America, Iron Man, S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Avengers as well as cameos from Stan Lee (natch), Lou Ferrigno, and the late Bill Bixby!

And battling CG creatures usually bugs the shit out of me, but here it is handled deftly and even thrillingly. The final battle between Hulk and Abomination was fan-fucking-tastic!

8/10

I know. During the one scene

SPOILER

Abomination: Any last words?

Hulk: HULK! SMASH!

That gave me chills and a grin that didn't leave my face until long after I left the theater.

Great movie.

Nope.

I meant the killer Jason. There is no explanation of him just "popping up" in part 2 out of nowhere, because he's nowhere to be seen in the original.

Unless he grew inside the lake at a rapid rate after trying to drown Alice. (if that wasn't a dream sequence, that is)

I'd have to say the best of the series was Jason Goes to Hell.
Man, what a fun movie!

Waiting
never expected it to be that funny. I actually have a tad bit more respect for Ryan reynolds not...but that doesnt mean i don't fucking hate him still.

Without A Paddle
Believe it or not, im actually drunk enough to have sat through that entire piece of crap

I like ryan reynolds, don't know why you'd hate him. He might not be the funniest person or the best actor, but I enjoy seeing him in movies.

I couldn't agree more with everything you just said.

This so far has been the best year EVER for comic book movies and with Wanted, Hellboy II, and The Dark Knight it is just gonna get better.
