With anthology films one I remembered was Deadtime Stories. Never seen it but it sounds intriguing. Scream Factory released it on Blu-ray fairly recently and I've been thinking of blind-buying it.

M. Night Shyamalan's latest, SPLIT, has proven to be something of a horror/suspense detour within the superhero universe of UNBREAKABLE. I like both films, but SPLIT is really something special...(actually wrote about it on my very-infant blog)... https://www.grandmasbigteeth.com/bla...ter-Be-Or-Else

Split is not part of a series though, so this is off topic?? Ah screw it. It's rarely on topic anyway.

That's why I didn't move it.

If you liked the original Phantasm the sequels are definitely worth a watch.

Agreed, Phantasm is a blast, I have watched all of them with my oldest son and he loved them.

Just a shame about the final film (Ravager). Definitely not the best way to end an otherwise excellent series, especially after a long 18-year wait.

Although I listed Poltergeist II as my favorite before, it's been so long since I last watched them and my opinion could definitely change next time I see the films. I recall liking both of the first two equally but the third one definitely falls short. The 2015 remake was okay.
