Blood Trails
This got a lot of bad reviews, but I enjoyed it. The action kept going and there was plenty of blood. Well directed and acted, IMO. It's worth a watch. |

re Prom Night ...
in the theatres here they have this huge standee thet looks like wardrobe doors ... daring you to open them. when you do there's a little scream .. like you'd get in a greeting card ... made me laugh |
Strange Behavior
Not horrible but not great either, fairly standard slasher fare with an over the top story. |

Re. Prom Night.
I knew how awful it would be when my 15 year old sister pointed out a promotional contest that tied in to the "upcoming thriller Prom Night" in a Girl's Life magazine nearly six months ago. Something like "send us your worst prom stories!" Target audience teen girls? No thank you. |

Well um.... That was the most predictable film ever made. It was... exactly what I was expecting, and it delivered just so. It's My Super Sweet 16 meets a lifetime *thriller*. It blew, in all ways. However, I ALMOST enjoyed about 7 minutes total of it. It sucks completely, but there's one ALMOST decent kill (its not inventive though, just the blood effect was cool). By the way, the trailer is exactly what you get in the film. The *scariest part* is where you see his hand reach toward her in the dark... and it wasn't even remotely thrilling... sooo: 4/10 |

Romper Stomper
Eastern Promises -Great acting, very well made, but I found myself losing interest whenever Viggo Mortensen wasn't on screen. So I agree with alky.. It's pretty small and there isn't enough. |
From Dusk Till Dawn, forgot how good this movie was.

Feast.
Not bad. Pretty stupid. Nice gore, here'n there. Atmosphere ok. I liked the approach to the film though, felt original, even though it wasn't. |

Frontière(s) (2007)
http://www.dvdspot.com/covers/0/1052317539.jpg Best after dark horror fest movie I have seen so far. >>: B+ The Beyond (1981) http://www.dvdspot.com/covers/5/1536809684.jpg In this god damn version of dvd, most of the gore scenes have been edited or 'deleted'! like...when the tarantula attacks (just when they started to bite), when Dicky was about to attack Emily, when the zombie plumber just grab Martha's face.. and so on..:( But surprisingly the dvd contains a music video and some footages of David Warbeck & Fulci's interview in a press conference in its extra features! |
Is it the only copy/version of the film available on dvd?
Guess that's a bitch if so...can't say I've ever seen it, but I'm interested, and I've only ever heard good things. I watched a movie I recently picked up for $1 on vhs. Now, I'd seen this movie when I was about 11, and hadn't thought about it in AGES - I remember I thought it was interesting, not much more. Now it IS A movie with Meryl Streep, which in general I wouldn't usually hold in highest regard in terms of my personal taste, but this one always grabbed me. It's called "Defending your life" and the majority of the film takes place in the first stages of ones afterlife. It's a unique take on life/death and really quite funny, warming and all that. IMO, this here teeters between romance, comedy, chick flick, and sci-fi. I'd reccomend it to anyone who's not yet seen it, it's the kind of movie that I think a lot of people would enjoy. |

Road Games
This was annoying at first - stacy keach talking to himself all the time - in a manner i didnt find to be funny or clever - - but eventually it got into a groove i found more comfortable. if you like hitchcock - you should like this film |

Wow...what a fantastic movie. Its only the second P.T. Anderson film that I've seen (There Will Be Blood being the first), but based on these I'd easily rank him among the greatest filmmakers working today. If you haven't seen this and you have 3 hours to kill, I really suggest checking it out. |

Shine a Light (2008)
Breathtaking! The ferocious energy and ageless passion that is splattered across the stage is something that could only be found in the Rolling Stones, and, in their mid-sixties the guys have better stage presence than most modern musicians. Scorsese pours his soul into capturing the best possible view at every second of the concert, presenting every member of his audience with the best seat in the house. The IMAX experience makes the entire experience absolutely unreal. It's a gas. |
-The Mist With Frank Darabont Commentary.
-Return Of The Living Dead Part Two. |
I liked the movie though, good atmosphere.
Probably one of the best "horror" films I've seen in some time. ...I have to say in all honesty that as soon as the "act" was under consideration, I could kind of see the "end" coming, in one way or another. But yeah, overall, good feel to the movie. It's funny, but if you made this film from a military/scientic character perspective, it would've been very like half-life, eh? |

Nice little sc.fi thriller..it's a pitty I had to see the hollywood ending..I have read that the alternativ ending is much better for the movie as a whole. This reminded me alot of X-files only better.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356618/ |

Odd little movie, but really enjoyable. This P.T. Anderson character is quickly becoming one of my favourite filmmakers:) |
