Robocop (Original) -

This is sci-fi with a touch of future society horror ideas. This is the first time I've seen it in HD. I like it but it is a very sad and dark movie. I saw it when I was young and although many things were beyond me then, I did realize that the movie was like a warning. Civilized society should never get to this point. Yet it seems like society is speeding to this point if not very close to it. I'm sure some got the warning when the movie was released, others saw it as just an action entertainment movie. I'll probably see the remake one day. I'm sure it's watered down from the original. But those who haven't seen the original Robocop should check it out.

Also in addition to noticing more story elements just because I'm older, seeing the movie in HD made me pick up on something that I didn't truly understand. It's kind of a SPOILER!!!

The birth of Robocop is sad and horrific. But as a kid some dialog went over my head. I always thought they just put Murphy's body in the robotic suit. However now I understand that it's just his brain and a few organs. Looking at the movie in HD you can even tell that his face is kind of strange. Reading more on it they removed his face for Robocop. That's how twisted the corporate scientists are.

My God, that was awful.

Is that really how young people are these days? Are you like that?

Obviously I'm not the target generation for this utterly annoying waste of time.

It's that bad? I have it on my list to check out when it's on cable. I read the story on wiki and watched the trailer. I want to see how the twist plays out.

There's a twist? There's not a twist.

The twist is that there is no twist.

Amazing how a story like that can seem this unoriginal. Even the dialogue was tame and unfunny. I was honestly bored throughout the entire thing.

The story about the danish surrender durring the WW2. The whole 88 minutes can pretty much be summarized in 1 word: RETREAT!!!

Yup, that's the danish military history right there. ::roll eyes::

What's kinda funny is that despite the somehow slow pace the 88 minutes flew by so fast. A really entertaining war flick,, which took me by surprise.

That should be the plot of the next M Night Shyamalan.

A man wants to die so he hires a killer to kill him but each time for some reason he survives.

This was fucking brilliant and aussie! I did not know where this was taking me but I sure enjoyed the ride. Had tons of awesome moments and some brutal parts. Fate. Do you believe in it??? Everything happens for a reason. ;)

Just saw it.
Interesting and original movie.
Another good one from down under. They've been doing a pretty good job lately.

SPOILERS!!!

I guess I should have said I quickly read some of the story. I gathered that a real ghost is pushing the so called friends to kill themselves after the suicide of their friend who was recorded in a bad way.
