So many people recommended me to watch it, and boy...am I glad I listened!

Daniel Day Lewis is perfectly cast in his role, and he brings so many emotions together in his character throughout the movie, which shows his amazing and phenomenal talent (seriously, if you have any doubt...watch this or My Left Foot or even Gangs of New York). I dare say only Marlon Brando in The Godfather is just an edge better than Daniel in There Will Be Blood.

**MINOR SPOILER**

Just watch the emotions fly across Daniel's face when he screams "I told you I would eat you!"

****

This is a SUPERB little effort by Paul T Anderson. His Boogie Nights and Magnolia were gems in their own right, and with There Will Be Blood, he has achieved a new high. This man's good...really REALLY good. If it doesnt win an Academy Award, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with the Academy Awards panel. Too bad it didnt get a wider release.

Anyone who is a lover of serious, gritty and realistic cinema should see this. I am buying the DVD when it comes out. Recommended to Rod, Alky, Newb, Jenna, Despare, Zwoti and anyone else who fits the bill said above.

Very funny, pretty heartfelt, and genuinely enjoyable.

Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut.

Its...different! And better. I like this one more than the Lester-directed sequel. And no one can beat Reeves. He was Superman, and will be.

turned out to just appear a lot better than it actually was. while i love the idea, it proved to be uninteresting after about twenty minutes of the same thing...
some of the technical aspects were really impressive, but in the end i just don't think it worked all that well for me.

Bravo!!! The Coen Brothers have made cinema magic with this one. Stellar direction, great characters with superb acting. IMO even better than Blood Simple. It is now my favorite Coen Brothers film.

Origin: Spirits of the Past

Wow. What a wildly off-kilter mish-mash of hippie sentiments, post-apocalyptic imagery, pseudo-philosophical bullshit and kick-ass visuals wrapped up in a sweet anime shell.

Good times, even if it is a bit illiogical.

Tokyo Zombie: A distinctly Japanese Zombie movie, leaning more towards comedy than horror. It definately has the perverted aspects of Japan in the movie. ALong with the weirdness. 6/10

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Awesome movie without a doubt. It has a different feel to it then any movie I have seen in recent years. It takes the first person camera thing and runs with it making it a semi mocumenatry and also shows footage from a real camera. It is funny, well acted, and just all around fun.

There Will Be Blood (2007)

Fierce. Fiercer than hell. The raw ferocity of the primitive nature of human greed and desire is presented here in absolute perfection.

I'm having a real hard time deciding between three movies for the best of the year, but I think this one will come out on top for me.

I'm going to be seeing it with Michael Clayton, Juno, No Country For Old Men, and Atonement. Can't wait.

Amazing western movie. Acting is superb and the action is absolutely fun. I recommend this to anyone who likes either westerns or action type of movies. Christian Bale showing how awesome he is once again.

last seen movie

Halloween byRob Zombie), the remake it was alright. but it was also
dissapointing for a lot of reasons, why did laurie strode not remember her
brother michael myers but in the Halloween(20 yearsor H2O), she did
remember him. and what happened to her in halloween 4 and 5 with
her daughter I think Jaime. please respond.
and Hatchet it was awesome robert englund and tony todd from nightmare on elm street and candyman were awesome in there roles. but the
one that played hatchet (Kane Hodder) wasn't he in the friday the 13th
movies as jason voorhies. and in Halloween was Brad Dourif(the voice of
Chucky doll) the old sap on the couch that dated michael myers-marsh
mother.

Michael Clayton (2007)
This was my second time, and I enjoyed as much, if not better. It's the kind of movie that really needs to be seen twice, as there is so much precision and detail that it's hard to absorb it in one sitting. Good...but not as good as the three heading Best Picture flicks.

The Savages
(2007)
An extremely natural comedy. No laugh is forced, no idea outrageous.

Strange Wilderness

I really hope this movie would be hilarious like Superbad but it just wasn't all that great. There were some funny moments but a lot of the funny was in the previews and there was a few other funny moments but overall just an okay comedy with some laughs.

Black Belly of the Tarantula

Giancarlo Gianini plays a troubled detective in this classy and slick, but ultimately not very thrilling giallo. En excellently groozy Morricone soundtrack adds tons of sexy atmosphere, but does nothing to ramp up the tension. Above par acting and directing make this one a stylish entry into the genre.

6.5/10

The Legend of Hell House

I really want to remake this one. Although it adheres rather closely to the book, it fails to be scary. Once again, good acting, cool set design, interesting story, but it fails to bring the scares. Matheson's novel is a scary read - after the recent success of I Am Legend, I wouldn't be surprised to see this one get the big budget treatment as well.
