Anyone liking it? Hating it?

I thought the characters were equally annoying to the ones in The Blair Witch Project, but at least this movie had a decent budget behind it and didn't seem to drag as much. But all their repeated yelling and bad dialogue went on my nerves.

Would like to see a version without the handheld camera. Like "The host".

BloodRedFlower 01-30-2008 01:05 AM

I think the dialogs weren't bad, considering the situation... and the yelling and screaming is understandable. Just imagine what you would do in their place. :)

Probably the same, but it was still very annoying listening to for 1 and a half hour.

Loved the sudden ending tho.

Justice League - New Frontier.
Dc is really coming along in its animated features...
This was pretty "different", being set in the 50's (golden era...ish)
but I thought it was a pretty cool storyline, and I love the oldskool thrown allover it. Wouldn'd mind seeing one or two more in the same continuity.

Batman Begins, Anchorman and now Blood Diamond.

Aeon Flux

Makes me long for the series (I really need that boxset).

Atonement

I must really not be a sucker for epic romances set in dramatic backdrops (The English Patient, for instance, bored me to tears). Found this overhyped, but good nonetheless. Joe Wright definitely deserved an Oscar nod for his direction, and James McAvoy was great.

Psycom5k 01-30-2008 01:49 PM

Meet The Spartans - 3/10 waste of a movie ticket.

Just saw the new Rambo movie a few days ago. Very bloody, cheesy acting, brutal scenes.

It was actually fun.

Yet neither were recognized for their brilliance. It really is a pity. And I would have chosen Keira Knightley's performance (who is not nominated) over the little girl's (who is) any day of the week.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

The Crowd (1928)

You might be in luck. For the makers have decided to do a sequel to Cloverfield, touting the first movie's monster as "just a baby...a newborn."

Brilliance may be pushing it a bit for me, but they were good and overlooked.

I will not mention Keira Knightley for I am sure that blood will be spilt given your love for her. :p But true, I don't see why the little girl was nominated at all.

I Am Legend

wasn't too keen on the CGI "infected". Over all, not a bad watch.

Very much agree. He was definitely the best in that movie and deserved to be nominated.

Love Object

I really want Desmond Harrington to make it big, because I think he's a fantastic, underrated actor (plus, he's hot). Love this creepy, atmospheric movie.

Good sequel, but not better than the first, imo.

missmacabre 01-31-2008 02:31 PM

brotherhood of the wolf. Wish it was subbed rather than the crappy dubbed version but still an excellent movie. big fan of all the colour symbolism.

:)
I thought the acting was fantastic...it was a pretty complex film so it was great to have talented young actors actually "get it" right.
I think this was the directors first film and I have to say he started out with a winner.
It's about a suicide after life basically...it's really really good I enjoyed it AND the kick ass cameo by Will Arnet.
(I loved Arrested Development.)

ohhhhhh and Shannyn Sossamon is all sorts of brunette delish fantasticness:D
