OMG! OMG! OMG! I found it!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064393/

The Green Slime

I mean, I remember the monster being actually made of goo, not being in a rubber suit; and I don't remember the legs and feet, extra eyes, the one eye being red, etc. But....there can't be two movies with that plot.

Thanks, madsciencewillow I probably wouldn't have found this if I hadn't have been looking at Space: 1999 stuff. It was looking promising for a while.

Please help identify film - fog, ships, b&w, cult

New here, but hoping you lot can help me recall a movie that is stuck in my mind. I recall watching it in the 70's along with dozens of other old horror films, but I cannot find the title to this one. All I can remember is that it involved a ship that got lost in a fog bank, the ship got stuck in some sort of floating growth that had also ensnared ships over the years in the fog bank. The survivors rigged weather balloons to themselves and walked across the water on life preservers to explore other ships. Eventually, they found one that appeared to be (Spanish?) from the 1400's I believe, wherein there was a 'tribe' of residents feeding a 'monster' down in a hold (similar to that desert pit Jabba was throwing people into). The film was black and white, no notable names that I can recall, likely shot in the 50's or 60's (perhaps earlier). Any ideas?

The Lost Continent (1968) and it was in color, my memory is fading.

Help! Decapitated head/other revealed under dome cover of serving tray

1 Attachment(s)
Someone was trying to describe being served a covered dish where the waiter lifted off a silver domed cover to reveal what was underneath, like 'voila!' and she said, "like what you see in horror movies with a head underneath" and we all knew what she meant, but I can't seem to FIND any of those movies.

There's a lot of decapitated heads, but wherefore are these movies that make them so iconic for 'the cloche' (the cover, sometimes silver but also sometimes glass and bell-shaped under which, yes, I can think of numerous references like "They Saved Hitler's Brain"...)

...but I'm looking for the serving of a covered plate, platter, at a dinner table, feast, etc that reveals a head (or other horrific object).

Is this just a John the Baptist/Head on a Platter thing and we're all projecting it as a horror movie trope? Or can anyone think of such horror movies.

Thanks for your help!

Name of film/show

Looking for horror/scifi twist.

A guy outside a bar using a payphone is rushed by a bunch of people or kids.

He then takes the bus to a tall tower, it has a distorted reality / acid trip feel to it.

That is all I can remember.

It was on the SYFY channel and it aired in 2 parts. Or it aired as an original movie. Can't recall it was in the late 90s early 2000s.

The Shroud 02-06-2018 07:42 PM

I don't really know, but this Ranker says it's got all the syfy channel movies.

https://www.ranker.com/list/all-syfy...e-movies-lists

h0rr0rsh0w 02-07-2018 10:26 AM

I've been looking obsessively at that list for years trying to find it lol. still can't find it even on that list. I don't know if it was syfy original made for sure. It did air on the channel though.

By the way the severed head on the tray.

You may be looking for Creep Show.

Name that Old Horror Movie?

Hello Movie Enthusiasts,

Looking for a horror B-movie from sometime between late 60s to the mid-70s, maybe to the late 70s, to the best of my knowledge. Can't remember if it was a theater movie or TV movie release. I remember seeing it on television, never saw it at the theater.

One of the scenes (think near the end) involves a women who is attack by a tree or plant with blood/fluid sucking branches after she walk out into a garden area of a house. The scene shows the branches attacking her being emptied of fluids leaving what looks like a dried up corpse afterwards. Think this tree/plant has several victims in the movie.

Thought it was the movie Frogs (1972) where all sorts of mutated creatures live on the island, but the plot doesn't mention the woman and blood sucking tree.

Thanks,
RZanrico

1967 European made file - Island Of The Doomed

Starred Cameron Mitchell as a scientist who developed carniverous plant as well as a vampire tree.

Creepy Blood Sucking Tree

Hi Martha,

It sounds like it might be the right one. Island of the Doomed sounds familiar. It appears I am not the only one who was looking for that movie. Found it on the reddit dot com /r/movies website. But, that post was 7 years old.
Blood sucking trees/vines? What movie was this?
"All I can recall of it, was that there was an old house with a big tree outside one of the windows. At night, the tree would extend a limb into the window and suck the blood out of the hapless sleeping victim."
I distinctly remember a woman who stepped out on the back patio of the house and the tree got its way with her. Sucking the blood out, until she looked like a shrunken prune.

That surely frightened me as a little kid. Can you imagine how much more a scene like that with today's special effects would scar a young child's mind.

I watched the movie on Youtube. For some reason, I remember the tree sucking the body dry leaving the carcass all shrived up. Also, thought the movie was a quite a bit higher in quality. But, then again the film was in better shape nearly 50 years ago. Despite the slight differences, the plot is very close to my fundamental memory of it. Vaguely remember the rabbit getting fed to the tree.

Did they do any remake of this movie incorporating the blood sucking tree?

Maybe my mind and imagination conjured up an image much scarier than what was portrayed in the movie. My imagination running away with me. I was 3 years old at the time this movie was released, only a few years older when it was it was most likely aired on television.

Need help finding a specific horror movie

Heya, new member here. Registered to hopefully get some help regarding this one horror movie. I would like to know it's name.
All I remember is there was this one main character, a guy, who died or had some serious injury and ended up in the hospital. He was on his way to the after life but was revived in the hospital. After that he would see ghosts or souls of dead people, or hear their words from television, the elevator or other equipment. I think he was also able to see which people were about to die because they had a shining aura around them. And he tried to save them.

Anyway, I might be confusing 2 movies here or not, but if you get any idea on which movie I am talking about please let me know, or at least give me the name.

Thank you for anyone who replies.

cheebacheeba 03-13-2018 02:27 PM

The seeing ghosts, and knowing who's going to die bit sound vaguely like "The Frighteners", but the rest doesn't.

Identify and find 70's/80's horror film.

I'm trying to track down a horror film I watched as a kid.
It would have been circa late 70's early 80's and included a couple of 7 foot lumberjack type dudes that were terrorising and hunting down a group of people in the woods.
One particular scene I remember was that one of the attacks was when one of the 7 footers just took someone under water while they were swimming in the lake.
The movie ends when the last of them is killed off and a women kills the last one off by putting her arm down his throat and suffocating him.

Any help in the identifying the film name and year would be most appreciated.

Rod

Name Of This Movie?

All I saw was the beginning of the film where these people were coming out of the ground. They did not look like zombies, but they could very well have been. I believe it was perhaps in the jungle or so. I remember seeing in in the late 80's/early 90's. Thanks in advance!

I just had a random memory.
Some soldier like henchmen in what I'm sure would have been an action film, are comparing scars and saying what weapons inflicted them?
One of them I think said "grenade" in another language.

There may or may not have been Germanm or Russian spoken in this scene but the rest of the film was in english.

There was a scene like that in “The Substitute”, but that was a 90s movie starring Tom Berenger.

Much of your general description fits Enemy at the Gates (2001), Jude Law, Ed Harris, snipers at Stalingrad.

I don't remember the film well, and don't remember the comparing scars.

So this isn't a horror movie but it's something I have been thinking about lately. The movie seemed almost like a Mad Max rip off as it takes place in a post-apocalyptic world with people who dress like they did in the Mad Max movies more or less and the villains name was show. If I am not mistaken he had a retractable sword. Towards the beginning of the movie he has his first encounter with the hero whose name I don't remember and he challenges the hero to a fight but the hero doesn't have a sword so show says they will fight with sticks and they tear off to metal poles from a canopy. I also remember that water is very scarce and there was a grotto or Cavern where freshwater still ran. Does anyone know what movie this is?

Need help finding a aquatic short horror film last seen on youtube?

A few years ago, I ran across a short horror film on youtube that involved a girl jumping off a floating wooden raft into a lake. After swimming a few minutes, the monster pulls her under. Does anyone know the name of the short horror film? It's not the Creepshow 2 the Raft Scene. Thanks so much.

Creepshow 2 was my first thought. If it's a short horror do you remember how long? Also the time period? Modern or older?

WAY better movie anyways.

Going on "dressed like/rip off Mad Max" factor:

Horror movie late 70s/early 80's

There was a movie on probably Showtime or HBO I watched back in the late 70's, early 80s. I remember a man staying in a home with these two old people. I remember a basement scene where there was a body of a girl and it had maggots all over her. In this dead girls bedroom, I think behind a fake wall, the man discovered a shrine dedicated to him, the old couple killed the girl (I think her name was Gail) and her body was in this shrine. They killed her with a pair of garden sheers in the garden, the last scene he was leaving the home and looked up at the window to see this woman (Gail) standing in the bedroom looking down on him.

This is all from memory from roughly 38yrs ago. Does anyone know this movie?
Thanks
