This was kinda awesome, made no sense but visually amazing with its shadows and lighting. An arthouse slasher?!? Yeah. It felt like modern twilight zoneish and the clothes they wore were like.. odd. LSD anyone?

New Kids Turbo (2010)
"Five white trash hooligans fall on hard times during the economic crisis and decide to quit paying for everything. Cops get involved and things start escalate."

New Kids Nitro (2011)
"The boys get into a feud with a rival crew from a nearby village.
Meanwhile a meteorite causes a zombie outbreak."

New Kids Turbo and New Kids Nitro are hard R-Rated Dutch comedies based on a sketch show.
Constant swearing, lots of drinking, ultra-violence,... Even a couple of kids die on screen.
Anyway, it was my second viewing and I still found them pretty funny.
But the humour's not for everyone and I don't know how well it translates to English.

The Gallows (2015)

I loved it! It may not be original in the slightest, but it was really good for me. I loved the lighting.

Towards the ending, it started to take a really good turn.

The actual ending though... spoiler: it is very very shit.

Still lost. Having not seen either examples the impression of the movie isn't the same when reading a review. Could you use a more well known example and explain further? Like what gender you think the Halloween series is geared towards?

I'm sure you don't mean insult by your comment, I'm just genuinely curious.

Splinter (2008)
Decent horror-thriller.

I Know What You Did Last Summer

I swear Sarah Michelle Geller is an immortal. That aside. I've never seen this before, but it's making me nostalgic for high school. It's painfully accurate within the first half hour how we have all these talents and dreams and hopes of achievements for after school. Then not even a year later everything goes to shit and you're still living with your parents working a shit job to make ends meet. ...Oh and there's a dead guy who wasn't dead but is now dead.

I'm actually very impressed with the characters. A bit cliche but each of them still unique in a way. You feel sorry as hell for Geller's character. I may have rambled before and it was her situation I was referring too. Just when you think her life is shit enough, ol' hook hand comes a knockin'.

I realize it's Hewitt's character we're supposed to feel sorry for but shit she's so Mary Sue. I do love how he toys with her though. It's so amusing to watch her go crazy with the waiting.

JFC I wish Geller's ex would get axed. Why the hell would hook-hand let him live after knocking him over with a car. He's so fucking intolerable. Always overly angry, aggressive, and abusive IN FRONT OF HIS FRIENDS AND TO HIS FRIENDS. Hell I would've thrown him in the river with the "dead" guy.

Hewitt's ex on the other hand is a bit of a Gary Stu. Poor, pretty, angsty. Doesn't want to grow up to be daddy but whoops I'm a fisherman now. Bet he and Hewitt are the only survivors.

After movie: Called it. Why the hell does Ray or whatever his name is try so hard to keep Hewitt's character alive. She did nothing but push him away and accuse him. Bland as toast without butter both of you. Get axed in a sequel.

I actually did like this though. Mostly because of the mystery and actual build up to kills. Didn't kill them right away, toyed with them a little, nice and suspenseful. I would watch again.

This one really impressed and surprised me. It's one of the best found footage movies in years.
