Hey You Guys!!! (as Sloth might say) My dad is sure it was The Dark Beneath! Thanks Horror Freak! You are a legend - I appreciate you chasing me around the forums! So excited now cant wait to check it out. One of my pop's few good qualities is his great taste in horror! He's seen just about everything over the past 50 years. I've been trying to track this one down for years... so has he! Can't wait to see it! Have any of you guys seen it? I havent found anything about it on the web yet
any info you guys have on it would be cool, even better, do you know where I can buy it!
HorrorFreak78, can you ask your friend Mick about it? Thanks again Guys :) |
Ah, good job, guy, running your charade.

Identical postings on many message boards across the internet, including the same revelations by the same guy, the same thanks in the same words, etc. Jig's up, HorrorFreak & Gore Monster. Don't bother with the denials... just admit it. |

Way to turn off your audience. If you have to trick someone into getting excited for your film then it can't really have much going for it.
Your viral marketing just backfired. Maybe next time you'll run an honest ad campaign. I'll be avoiding Midnight Movie. this bonehead manuver almost desrves its own thread |

I love a good viral campaign as much as the next guy...but this is just hilariously bad.
J.J. Abrams you are not, Gore Monster. PS - Anyone notice my inquiry? It kind of got lost in this ridiculous mess. |
Sorry, I originally posted this as a separate query in the forum. Now I see this is where it should be...
As a kid i remember seeing this very disturbing British horror flick, which looked like it could have been from the Hammer or Amicus production teams. It featured a bunch of teenagers in an old lighthouse or tower. I also remember a rather graphic sex scene. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'd love to know. |

It wasn't really that hard- simply type The Dark Beneath into google and the interviews with Midnight Movie's director come up.
We don't mind people announcing their new films in the proper forums when it's done with honesty. We're always on the lookout for new horror films. I know it must seem pretty hopeless to get your film noticed amidst all the dreck out there, but really- have confidence in your project, and that its quality will speak for itself. |

Need help identifying a zombie flick please!?!?!
Ok, so I have very little to no information on this movie I'm looking for. I only remember a couple specific scenes. It was a zombie movie, and I originally thought it to be one of the Return of the Living Dead flicks, but I haven't recognized anything in those that I watched.
I first saw this movie when I was real young, probably in the late 80s or very early 90s, on television. I recall one scene in which an old man pulls a severed head from a box, or a bag, and the head ends up biting his finger. Another scene I recall from the same movie is a few people in the back of a box truck, tossing fruit and random foods out the back, in an attempt to distract an ensuing zombie horde. It's vague and of little assistance, but that's all I have of it. For literally YEARS now I've been searching for this movie, on IMDB, and anywhere else. It's driving me insane. I have found no movie that looks familiar. If someone could help me out with this in any capacity, it'd be much appreciated. |
One of the Re-animator flicks (the second one?) had a scene where the a guy pulls a head out of a bag and it bites him. Apart from that (like I said in the other thread) it sounds like ROTLD Part II to me especially the truck thing.
|
Thanks a lot man, I think that's it. But now I can't seem to find a streaming version of it anywhere, or any regular downloads. Torrents always consistently disconnect me, so I can't really use those. That's probably why I never found out which one it was, I could never find ROTLD II anywhere.

Okay guys.....I barely remember the movie but, it was about some Guy that had an ice cream truck (i think) and he would go around collecting little childrens arms. Once he collected them he'd go home and sew them onto his daughter (who had no limbs). There's one scene where he says something like "play the piano for daddy!".
Any help would be good guys, Thanks. |
Here's one.
Not horror. More like blaxploitation type stuff. I'm pretty certain it's an 80's film. I'm also pretty dure the black dude from "from dusk til dawn", the one with that big-ass moustache, was the main character, or at least one of them. Pretty violent film. Locally famous ex-gang member returns to his old "hood", to find the modern incarnation of the game is full of assholes shaking down the older gang members and local shopkeepers...etc...and proceeds to straighten things out with some of the old-skoolers. One line I remember was "well well, look at that, somebody famous...can I have your autograph mister ?bookman?....PLEASE?" I liked this one, I'm sure someone will have seen it, title please? |
|
Nah but I might check that out.
I actually looked at the guys IMDB page, the film I was looking for with the Bookman character was the pathetically titled so-bad-lookin-thought-it-was-80's film of 1996 "original gangstas". |

nothing wrong with original gangsters |
Yup, s'all good by me.
But pretty bad title all the same. Now that I know, I'll be grabbing it for sure. |
Could someone help me identify this Horror movie?
Iīm trying to identify this old horror movie from the 80:s (i thing), that i saw as a kid. I canīt remember the name of it, and my memories themself are vague.... but perhaps someone could help me out.
Iīll describe a couple of scenes, and maybe someone will recognise. The movie revolves around thing young teenage guy who suffers from nightmarish intrusions into his reality, he is being hunted by several nightmare-creauters, such as a red, powerful demon, and a scary janitor with hooks for arms. The movie is kinda B:ish, and you never know whatīs real in it or not... i think the teenage boy is being called "John Doe", and i also remember this scene where a coffin suddenly stands in his bedrom. I also have a vague memory of the boy trapping the Demon into a shutter, but im not certain... and i library scene also, i think... please, if someone recognise any of this or even better, know what movie iīm talking about. Post the answer right here. Thanks alot! |
^^The Willies?
|
Nah, it isnīt "The Willies"
Itīs much darker, it contains no cheesy humour what so ever. The Demon isnīt a main character, just a recurring piece of the nightmare... Please, does it ring a bell? Someone? |

help me I.D this movie
O. K., I need some help identifying this movie. I don't remember much about it because it was like 15-20 years ago. I saw it on USA networks "Saturday Nightmares" back in the day (anyone remember that show?) The movie was about a group of people in a big house on a tropical island that were being killed off by these Nazi zombies who broke out/came out of this old submarine just off the shore of the beach. I remember the zombies were bald, pasty white, and they wore long black uniforms and big round goggles. I also remember that one of these zombies got his big black goggles ripped off his head and kind of like melted or something in the sun. I guess that's how you killed them. The only other thing I remember is that a guy is running from one of these zombies and steps on a sea urchin and it stings his foot. If anyone could please help me put a name to this movie I would be very grateful as this movie has eluded me for quite some time. Thanks

Shock Waves is a terrible film. The zombies look really cool but its a yawnfest.
|
That's it! Thanks V. This movie may be "terrible", but it scared me all those years ago. I'm just glad this mystery is finally solved.

Trying to think of a movie.. pretty obscure..
I remember watching this horror movie as a kid and now it's years later and memories of the film keep coming back now and then and it's driving me crazy not knowing the name of the movie.
Here's what I remember. It's horror, lots of gore, maybe some comedy. At first I thought it was Bride of Re-Animator, it's not, but it might have been Lovecraftian. One of the characters was a pretty mute girl with whom the protagonist fell in love. I think a domineering mother might have been involved. One thing I remember most specifically is the ending--the mute girl and the mother ended up in some sort of tube-like machine, which was activated, and I think it killed the mother but sort of blended the two women. It seemed like it would be a happy ending as the hero walked off with the mute girl, but then she spoke, and it was the voice of the mother, end with maniacal laugh. Sound familiar to anyone? Update: I remembered another scene. I think the hero, or one of the heroes, loses his arm at one point when a pneumatic lab door closes on it. The arm then reanimates, escapes the lab or something, and pursues the hero for awhile. Pretty sure it's a zombie movie. |
Found it.
I just googled "severed arm" and "mute girl" and the first page was the imdb page of the movie... it's Severed Ties.
Crisis resolved. |
