Pet Sematary............

metternich1815 04-07-2013 07:56 AM

It appears we have a winner! Here were the results:

Children of the Corn: 2 (MichaelMyers and Kandarian Demon)

Firestarter: 0

Pet Sematary: 8 (The Villain, horrorfangirl66, fortunato, Sculpt, V, roshiq, tiberius, and natedog722)

Thus, Pet Sematary has crushed its competition to become the clear winner!

Personally, this would have been an easy choice: Pet Sematary. I thought this was one of the best (probably top five) Stephen King adaptations ever made. In fact, this film would also be in my top 25 favorite horror movies of all time. That being said, it should be noted that Children of the Corn was also a really good adaptation as well (it starred Linda Hamilton, who also played the role of Sarah Conner in The Terminator series). I just thought that Pet Sematary was much better.

Creepshow.
"Wheeere's my caaaake???"

_____V_____ 04-07-2013 08:39 AM

Creepshow is easily the most entertaining out of the lot, but I will go for my personal favorite out of the lot - The Dead Zone.

Kandarian Demon 04-07-2013 08:58 AM

Creepshow! One of my all time favourite movies...

The Villain 04-07-2013 09:49 AM

Definitely Creepshow

Shemonsterdevil 04-07-2013 10:55 AM

So creepshow.

roshiq 04-07-2013 12:36 PM

Creepshow

horrorfangirl66 04-07-2013 01:55 PM

Creepshow for sure

Rela1024 04-07-2013 04:38 PM

Creepshow....

Sculpt 04-07-2013 08:26 PM

I'll vote Creepshow; it was fun.

The Deadzone certainly got more critical praise, but maybe a little more than it deserved.

Anthropophagus 04-08-2013 03:12 AM

Creepshow or Dead zone,i truly love both but to share things around i will go for the Dead Zone

realdealblues 04-08-2013 05:53 AM

I can't let Maximum Overdrive go without a vote.

tiberius 04-08-2013 08:37 AM

Creepshow........

metternich1815 04-08-2013 08:49 AM

It appears we have a winner! Here were the results:

Creepshow: 9 (kinfe_fight, Kandarian Demon, The Villain, Shemonsterdevil, roshiq, horrofangirl66, Rela1024, Scultp, and tiberius)

The Dead Zone: 3 (natedog722, V, and Anthropophagus)

Maximum Overdrive: 1 (realdealblues)

Thus, Creepshow is clearly the winner!

Personally, I really liked The Dead Zone, but I thought Creepshow was really good, so I would have voted for it. It definitely would be a hard decision, but that would be my choice. As for Maximum Overdrive, I thought the idea was great, but the direction was terrible. Perhaps Stephen King should just stick to writing because practically everything he directs is terrible, in my opinion.

I love An American Werewolf for the effects but I love The Howling for the story.

The Howling wins for me today.

An American Werewolf in London

Sculpt 04-08-2013 11:54 AM

Definitely the Howling. The opening, and the full wolf scene where the bodies where being held, after the guy pulls out the bullet in his head, help make the movie.

AWIL has a great transformation scene, but I was never a Pepper for it.

roshiq 04-08-2013 12:02 PM

American Werewolf

MichaelMyers 04-08-2013 12:15 PM

Howling II.

I agree, it's a great flick, but it never hit me the way it apparently hit others.

The Howling, for me.

American Werewolf.
One of the best looking werewolves ever.
That, and I never really liked the howling series.

The AWIL wolf was good. I liked Silver Bullet one too. As far as I'm concerned there was no Howling series, I only like the first. I thought the Howling werewolf (in the scene below) was the most realistic and frightening.

Great film.

natedog722 04-10-2013 12:17 PM

The Howling.......Just watched it within the past week or so

metternich1815 04-10-2013 12:31 PM

It appears we have a winner! Here were the results:

An American Werewolf in London: 10 (horrorfangirl66, Rela1024, roshiq, V, bamahorrorfan87, The Villain, cheebacheeba, fortunato, Anthropophagus, and newb)

The Howling: 4 (realdealblues, Sculpt, knife_fight, and natedog722)

Howling II: 1 (MichaelMyers)

Thus, An American Werewolf in London is clearly the winner!

Personally, it would have been between An American Werewolf in London and The Howling. Although they are both about werewolves, they approach the material in different ways and thus have their own things that I like. That being said, I would choose The Howling for two reasons. First it stars scream queen Dee Wallace, who delivered a terrific performance. The Second I liked how they referenced various older werewolf movies, similar to what my favorite horror film, Scream, did. Ultimately, it was a hard choice, but The Howling would be my choice.

P.S. The reason it took me so long to publish the results was because of school work and because I have (temporarily) moved out of horror movies and back in to Star Trek. Hopefully, I should still be able to keep on top of this thread, despite my (temporary) interest change.
