Poe Through the Glass Prism, from 1969. Somewhat light psyche-sounds from the late 60s. The band hits just the right note setting their music to several of Edgar Allen Poe's poems. And you can hear it right here, on Welcome to Weirdsville Radio!

What two things do Eraserhead and Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte have in common? They both contain a scene with a head rolling across the floor and they've both had their soundtracks added to the spooky soundscape of Welcome to Weirdsville Radio!

The electronic creepiness and joyful funhouse organ snippets created by David Lynch and Alan Splet evoke nothing less than a demented nightmare, which of course describes the movie perfectly. Frank DeVol's lush and florid melodies in the Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte evoke the Southern Gothic feel of the Bette Davis thriller. Two very different soundtracks, but both very effective in their own ways.

The ghosties also discovered a hidden cache of old movie trailers hidden in a back closet, so now Bloodbath in the House of Death, Dorm That Dripped Blood, and Manic Cop 2 advertisements will assault your ears, along with selections from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, 3, 4 and 5 soundtracks.

Tune in for the most unique Halloween audio experience on the internet. Also useful for keeping things weird in general...

The ghoulies in the studio have been busily filling a few holes in the playlist, adding songs no Halloween station would be complete without. Things like Michael Sembello's Maniac, Edgar Winter's Frankenstein, Bela Lugosi's Dead by Bauhaus, The Green Slime, Ballad of the Hip Death Goddess by The Ultimate Spinach, Whatever Happened to Eddie by Eddie and the Monsters (that's Butch Patrick, better known as Eddie Munster), more Screamin' Jay Hawkins, everything Bette Davis sang in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (and what could be more frightening than Bette Davis singing?), Vampira by Bobby Bare, The Goddamn Gallows, and no less than ten tracks of rock & horror by the only horrorific rock star to ever run for parliament, Screaming Lord Sutch himself!

Ygor's been binge watching Twin Peaks ever since he found out it's coming back next year, so he demanded we add add Angelo Badalamenti's soundtracks to Twin Peaks, seasons one and two to the mix, and just to be nice, we threw in Fire Walk With Me as well, and then snuck in a bunch of creepy and scary TV theme songs as well- Dexter, Six Feet Under, Tales From the Crypt, Tales From the Dark Side, Millennium, Quantum Leap, V the Series, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space, Land of the Giants, Firefly, Time Tunnel, Masters of Horror and a few others.
When she saw this Vampira demanded equal time so she added a bunch of theremin music, just to prove that everything sounds spooky when played on a theremin. We've added BOTH of Clara Rockmore's albums, Lydia Kavina's album, and even a cover of Black Magic Woman played on the theremin.
When he saw all this Frankenstein's Monster whined that he just wanted to rock out, so he added CALABRESE's Traveling Vampire Show, and Canadian psychobilly band The Creepshow's Run for Your Life.
And to cap it all off, we have a bonafide EXCLUSIVE track from spoken word artists Astro Al! If you want to hear Dracula's Castle 2014, the is the only place in the universe you can!
And on a final note, we've been tweaking the playlist again, since the shuffle wants to play an inordinate amount of Midnight Syndicate, Vic Mizzy and Kenyon Hopkins, so we put a selection of Welcome to Weirdsville's Favorite Tunes, some of the all time Halloween hits, in heavy rotation to try and balance things out. Happy Halloween to my spooky friends! I am delightfully listening to Christopher Walken recite the Raven thanks to the magnificent Uncle Ozma! What a dastardly, spooky difference having the radio weirdsville on the airwaves!
It has been a spooktacular Halloween. Me in my devil cape, no candy left since we had so many ghouls! First time ever, nada left!
To top it off, I was able to shut down my spooky mansion, ha... And take my dog along with some friends for a walk to the spooky attraction house in my neighborhood, boy they did it up right. Projectors, zombie cementary, flying ghosts in glitter looking lights, pretty awesome,since I walk past every morning, sooooo much more added on halloweeen night, wow! impresssive!!!!

Halloween is always an action-packed day for me but I hope many of you, like I did, found time to squeeze in a little Welcome to Weirdsville. Will be interesting to see what unfolds in coming weeks, whether station stays "spooky" or returns to the silly side of the occult......

Thanks for being such a loyal listener Mr. M. WTW will remain a full-service Halloween station running the gamut from the silly to spooky. I still have more room on the server, so I'll be adding even more weirdness as soon as I get my life settled again.

The server was full most all of Halloween day and night, and just about half full still the next day. A successful season for a station I decided to revive at the last minute. I am losing my mind listening to Neverending..or is it Welcome to Weirdsville? Whichever it is, It's amazing. Now I don't have to rummage through cd's and computer files to find my October soundtrack, and though I don't imagine I will listen this obsessively after Halloween, I know I will tune in very often.
