You should probably spoiler-tag the ending for those who haven't seen the movie, yet.

Friday The 13th - Part 2

Halloween - Original, although when served as a double bill with part 2 I like them both even more as one film.

A Nightmare On Elm Street - Dream Warriors

Saw - Saw

Scream - Scream

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Original

Alien - Alien/Aliens tie, with Alien3 close behind. Always felt it was underrated.

Predator - Predator

Phantasm - Phantasm

Evil Dead - Evil Dead

Hellraiser - Hellraiser

Child's Play - Child's Play 2

Final Destination - Final Destination 2

Yeah, the first ones. My bad.

Jigsaw Killer 11-19-2013 10:04 PM

No worries, I assumed you meant the originals.

self_indulged 11-20-2013 02:07 AM

I love all the old original Friday the 13ths

Jigsaw Killer 11-20-2013 05:14 PM

What about the other series listed in the original post, which is the best movie in each, in your opinion?

Jigsaw Killer 11-26-2013 03:50 AM

On the subject of anthologies, I remembered Trilogy Of Terror. I never saw the original but remember seeing the sequel years ago and liking it. The segment with the Zuni doll was definitely my favorite.

Jigsaw Killer 12-10-2013 02:01 AM

Did I mention the Monsters TV show from the early 90s for anthologies? Can't remember. I loved that show, my favorite episode was The Match Game.

Michael Voorhees 12-14-2013 08:24 PM

My choices:

Friday The 13th: Jason Lives

Halloween (Original)

A Nightmare On Elm Street 2

Saw 2

Scream (Original)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003

Alien (Original_

Predator (Never saw it)

Phantasm (Never saw it)

Evil Dead 2

Hellraiser (Original)

Child's Play 2

Final Destination 3

Jigsaw Killer 12-15-2013 04:02 AM

The Phantasm and Predator films are well worth your time.

Baron Von Marlon 12-19-2013 04:04 PM

No one mentioned The Feast series yet?
I think those are pretty good.

Horror_of_the_Unknown 12-21-2013 02:56 PM

My vote goes for Phantasm series.
Too bad they cannot find a financial backer to make Phantasm 5.

Been meaning to see those, I've yet to.

Jigsaw Killer 12-26-2013 02:35 PM

I was thinking back to TV shows the various incarnations of The Twilight Zone and Outer Limits. Granted both are more Sci-Fi than straight-up Horror but they have plenty of Horror-oriented stories, too.

dblockdedicated 12-28-2013 08:26 AM

The Descent.

Jigsaw Killer 12-28-2013 03:33 PM

What about the other series listed?

thietkelogo 12-29-2013 12:56 AM

Evil Dead: Part 2

Hellraiser: Not seen any sadly.

Child's Play: Part 1

Final Destination: Part 1

Jigsaw Killer 12-29-2013 05:58 PM

I've seen up to the first six Hellraisers. The original is very much worth your time.

Jigsaw Killer 01-04-2014 02:05 PM

I got back from Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones earlier and found it surprisingly good and one of the stronger entries in the series, but I still think the original is the best. I think 2 and TMO are neck and neck for best sequel, though.

Jigsaw Killer 01-16-2014 03:48 PM

I don't think the Pumpkinhead series got a mention before here. I've seen the first two and the original is among my favorite Horror films, while the second is pretty good.

You should definitely check out Hellraiser part 7 Deader I enjoyed hat much more than parts 5 and 6.

Jigsaw Killer 02-05-2014 03:42 PM

I'll check them all out someday, I'm a completist when it comes to any series and always have to watch every entry anyway, I'll finish up Hellraiser at some point.

Fearonsarms 02-05-2014 04:16 PM

I have to warn you that Hellraiser: Hellworld and Hellraiser: Revelations were the weakest of that franchise IMO but I hope you enjoy Deader.
