Being Elmo...
...Don't knock it til you've tried it. |
^^ I actually really want to see that one; glad to hear it's good.
... I believe that it's been recommended already, so I second the recommendation for The Perfect Host (2012) - Incredibly well-done. David Hyde Pierce was just a pleasure to watch. Dark, humorous, and creepy. Really enjoyed it. |
A few I just noticed:
(wish I hadn't seen those already - Looking for something to watch) :-/ |

^^ Yep, gotta agree with you on both points. ... The Corridor (2010) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps2f3d0b4a.jpg This is one of those rare, quality indie horror flicks. While it does have its faults (someone who shaved his head instead of having bald makeup, for example... And at some some pretty poorly exposition), it's unique, has genuinely creepy moments, and had enough mystery and weirdness that I was just glued to the screen. When I say "quality little indie horror flicks," it's of the same ilk of Dead End, yellowbrickroad, The Caller, etc. I would say that the only dissatisfying part of the film was the ending, but it's probably because the story was so bizarre I'm not sure how they could have made it satisfying (and believe me there were a couple of cliched places that it could have gone but it didn't), so definitely cheers to that. Reminded me a LOT of yellowbrickroack in that it's bizarre, keeps your interest, and the end leaves you sort of perplexed. Honestly, when it came down to it I really liked this. Wish that more horror films split the mold like this. Hats off. 3.75/5. |
Headhunters
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1614989/ I really enjoyed this one and of course the unoriginal Hollywood is going to do an American remake |
Netflix added some Bava for your Halloween watching
Baron Blood Bay of Blood Black Sunday Lisa and the Devil House of Exorcism Kill Baby Kill The Girl Who Knew Too Much Black Sabbath last night I watched Lisa and the Devil and House of Exorcism back to back House of Exorcism is basically Lisa and the Devil with added Possession footage to cash in on "The Exorcist". LATD is the better movie but it's pretty interesting to watch them back to back |

Are we looking at the same site when clicking the link?? It has like 18 different horror movies. None of them remotely rare.

Looking at this cover on Netflix, I figured the movie was gonna suck
I was wrong....Very well done and the acting was top notch http://www.paulcampion.com/wp-conten...vr_pc_v02c.jpg |
Va va va VOOM - I'll have to check it out.
... I've been watching a lot of http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6..._and_geeks.jpg and http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rl/revenge.jpg The former is cute and I wish I'd seen it when I was younger (makes me feel O L D) - Definitely a trip to see James Franco, Jason Segel, and Seth Rogan all playing high school kids... And I love seeing cameos from the likes of a young (AND ADORABLE) Rashida Jones and a SUPER-young Shia LaBeouf. As for the latter, it's a pretty incredibly well-written drama that meanders into soap opera territory. I have a hard time selling it without sounding cheesy, but it's incredibly addictive and the acting is great (though sometimes I think our leads act too creepy/suspicious to be as "likeable" as they are.) |
