Haha.Old people killing slutty teenagers rule.
|
It's not the best horror film ever but once you've seen one, you've basically seen them all. There's alot of repeated spots like bodies through windows and being trapped in a room.
Anyway, I prefer part 2 actually. |
I hate all the sex scenes. I hate that in all slashermovies..
|
Well. I'd have a lovely talk with Jason, maybe have a swim together.I could clean the blood from his mask/machete, Jason would suck my dick....You know stuff like that.

I liked Part 6, but then there are all those damn other ones.
|
It's got to be one of the scariest flicks of all time, on the list of many others. Friday the 13th is an Icon flick in horror. Tom Savini's work is too fresh and the suspense is a killer, with a wicked and classic conclusion. I always keep this one out of the series in a class by itself, even though I feel that F13 part 2 was far better.
|
I agree. Part 2 was much better and 3 wasn't too shabby either.

Friday the 13th Part 3 3D
Has anybody seen this? What are your opinions on it? The movie itself, the 3D effects, classic dialogue, etc...
I went to a late night screening last night in Boone, NC. True polarized 3D with the special glasses. I drove an hour and a half to get to the theater, and I've got to say that it was worth every minute. The 3D effects, while creating some strain on the eyes, added a whole new layer of depth to an already great movie! The eyeball-popping scene alone makes the movie worth a trip. Part 3, along with 4, 6, 7, and JGTH, are my favorites in the series, and I think that FvJ deserves mention as being true to the series as well. |
Pt 3 is one of my faveroites in the series... I want to see it in 3D, don't like my chances though...
|
If you get the opportunity to see it in 3D, definitely take advantage. Unfortunately, very few theaters are equipped to show polarized 3D movies. But I can't completely capture how much better it made the movie. I loved it, and I thought that the 3D was very well done, given the technological limitations...
|
Oh man I woulda loved to have seen it in a theater. The only place I can find a full 3D copy is some guy who sells a bootleg off ebay.
If anyone knows a place to buy a good copy I'd love to know. |
Fortunately, I was able to catch this one at the cinemas many years ago in 3D.
Definitely worth seeing in 3D if you can. It makes sense of the scenes where various implements are pointing towards the screen - in the 2D version it detracts, in the 3D version the gimmick can be appreciated fully :) |
There is no DVD that is capable of playing the polarized 3D version. It requires a twin projector projecting the image through Polaroid filters. It seems that these projectors are increasingly rare in theaters, which makes sense given the lack of new films utilizing this technology.
|
Saw it in 3D when it frist came out, was cool, first 3D experience for me.
|
I love it. it's my favorite of the series- it's got everything that makes an F13 movie great!
|
The only 3D flick I saw was the end of Freddy's Dead. I've got the magazine that came out round that time that has some 3D pics that are pretty funny to look at if you're in the right mindset....
|
just watched 1-4 seems like they had intended more and more sequels from the start

My Friday the 13th part 3 3D DVD review
Here is my review of the last of the new Friday the 13th releases due out on February 3rd. This one even includes a little video starring Me!! Nothing spectacular...just didn't have a whole lot to include in this review ;)

I'm going to make a bold statement and say that the remake was the best. All the Friday films suck, but like previously stated, it's fun to watch for the gore candy and kills. The remake was just more... enjoyable. I might change my mind since i'm still on the high from seeing it in a dark theater, but that's my thought right now. I just popped in Part 2 for the first time as well, so maybe my opinion will change :)
|
I grew up watching and loving F13 movies. I really don't see the point of remaking a movie franchise after what 11 movies(including freddy v jason)? But whatever I'm sure they're going to remake all of my favorite franchises regardless. Parts of the remake were pretty sweet, I'd have to admit. It was awesome to see him back on the big screen. I didn't find it scary at all...The old ones STILL scare me. I hated how they recapped the first film during the credits. I hated how he lived in underground tunnels and how held someone captive? That's just not in his nature. Idk. Of course being a true fan of the franchise I'm not going to necessarily appreciate a remake.
|
The whole living in a mine thing and taking hostages thing was hard for me to swallow too. Looking back at how the original series progressed however, I'm glad they decided to bring Jason into a more 'human' role. It sure beats watching him slither up some bitches cooter in the shape of a 'bodysnatching' worm. Or any of the other far fetched story lines brougth about by the franchise. I really liked this version, even the recap during the opening credits. I thought the opening scene help to show it was the same Jason Voorhees, but a whole new retelling of how it all went down.
|
The new F13 still feels more like a sequel to me than the other remakes I've watched.
|
The series as a whole generally get's rated lower than the Halloween and Nightmare series' by most people. Personally, I thought alot of the Friday movies were actually enjoyable to watch. (Even the one's most people couldn't stand). I'll agree with you on Jason takes Manhattan. It's very fun and enjoyable to watch and although it is not ranked very highly as a movie, I finished the movie in one sitting and it actually had me hooked a few times.
The only Friday movie I really didn't care for was Jason X. The rest I liked. If I had to make a top 5: 1) Friday the 13th: Part 3 2) Jason goes to Hell 3) Friday the 13th Original 4) Friday the 13th Part 2 5) Friday the 13th The Final Chapter |
Friday The 13th Ultimate Thread
thread for the series, whatever you have to say about it.
what do you guys think of the first three? i love them. |
I like the whole series. 3 is my favorite and 1 thru 4 are the best then they go down hill after those 4.
|
I loved them when I was younger.
Part 2 was my favorite. Its been a while since Ive seen a Friday movie. |
The first two are enjoyable as cheesey crap- mainly for the enjoyment of seeing former glamore queen Betsy Palmer camping it up.
The rest- garbage. |
|
For me....
Part - 3 Part - 2 Part - 1 Part - 4 The "so called" remake (I liked turbo Jason) Part - 5 Part - 6 Part - X (lot's of sweet kills) I can't stand The New Blood, Manhattan or Jason Goes to Hell. |
Plain entertainment. I've never thought much of these, however the first 2 or 3 are worth watching.
I still don't get why everyone loves Jason this much. |
When I was a child, the Friday The 13th movies appealed to me. Now, not so much.
Although, I did like Freddy vs. Jason... |
i love all of them they r cool
