Damn it, I'm so tired...

I will be here for the Python One most definatley though.

Despare 04-02-2008 07:28 PM

I would like the Python round, since it's one of the bigger prizes, to take place at a time when most people can attend. Right now I'm thinking about 3PM EST on a Sunday.

Then again, I am a bit... brain-dead. ;)

Dude Guadalupe 04-02-2008 07:30 PM

I prefer it to happen now, since I'm awake and really want the prize :D

neverending 04-02-2008 07:33 PM

NeverEndingWonder Radio is now broadcasting the horror.com trivia contest official soundtrack. Tune in for music from horror film soundtracks and live commentary by the insane Uncle Ozma.

Well I could get out my giant Monty Python book and maybe even my philosophy according to Python book...

But nah, I'd rather just build anticipation. ;)

Dude Guadalupe 04-02-2008 07:35 PM

See? You already have good Python stuff, think of the less fortunate (me).

Only 4 or 5 books, lots of the movies, and the entire Flying Circus.

You'll get a chance, are you usually at wor... I mean around the computer on Sundays?

Dude Guadalupe 04-02-2008 07:37 PM

 I hate you

Sunday I'm at work from 3pm - 11pm so yeah

Maybe this Sunday at 3:30 then... since you're so eager to (try and) win something.

Dude Guadalupe 04-02-2008 07:41 PM

That could work

So I should combine my current Sir Graves avvy with my eye surgery sig?

Despare 04-02-2008 08:47 PM

Here are the current scores with new faces on the board but the same leader as before! Neverending continues to lead but works so often... you kind of wonder how he does it.

Thanks again to NE and his commentary/soundtrack which always impresses and inspires. Look at Fortunato with a .5 point lead on a couple of people, great stuff. Oh, and remember, you can see (most) of the prizes on the first page of this thread!

Neverending - 21

fortunato - 12.5

Angrymob - 12

Newb - 12

Disease - 2

Gorephobia - 3

Cactus - 4

Jenna26 - 2

Rayne - 2

Dude Guadalupe - 1

SUNDAY

3:30 PM

EST

PYTHON TRIVIA

_____V_____ 04-02-2008 08:56 PM

Wee Monty Python is headed to your homes THIS SUNDAY folks!!

Make sure you dont miss it...

(I won't too...:o )

Catch you this Sunday!!!!!!!

ferretchucker 04-03-2008 03:14 AM

Thankgod you changed the time! It's a time that I could do without setting an alarm. And I was pissed off because my alarm for this morning (coz I thought the python one was 11:00pm est) didn't wake me up, so I thought I missed it.

Disease 04-04-2008 12:52 PM

Can I ask a favour, if people are willing, you see... On Sunday Grindhouse is showing at a cinema here as a one off, so I managed to get tickets....

It played here at the film festival, but sold out before I could get the tickets, but know I finally get to see it as it is ment to be.

All this means I can't make the Python trivia, but I so desperatley want to take part as I am a huge fan, though I don't expect to win, I just want to take part..

So if people can find it in there heart to move it to the following Sunday, or as a bonus round later on that would be great.

I know it's selfish and self indulgent of me, but who knows when I will get the chance to see Grindhouse on the big screen, and it's worth a shot...

Thanks in advance...

It's up to the masses, if I get a few PMs telling me to go ahead and change it I will change it but if I don't I'll simply proceed as planned. :)

Despare 04-04-2008 03:37 PM

Alright folks, looks like there's enough people who want to movie it so I'll keep you posted. Looks like these three DVDs will just have to wait right here until we play. :)

At least Cactus has his prize mailed already.

Disease 04-04-2008 04:06 PM

Great thanks everyone, you're all great gals...

fortunato 04-08-2008 02:39 PM

just wondering if there was any idea when the next round is going to happen.

neverending 04-08-2008 02:52 PM

I was wondering that myself... I imagine V's pretty busy with the Battle Royale....

yeah definitely, that's what i figured has been keeping him.
i was just wondering if they had any idea about the next round or not.

_____V_____ 04-09-2008 05:41 AM

Well I am packed to my neck in my daily schedule, thats for sure.

Also, because the next one will be Monty Python round with 3 DVDs going to the winner, me and Des haven't been able to zero upon a particular time slot yet...since we want the maximum participants in that round.

Hence we put the question to you all - which time will suit you the most?

There are some who prefer mornings, some prefer afternoons, some like the nights...now if only we all could agree on a common time.

newb 04-09-2008 06:11 AM

EDIT....wrong thread

Disease 04-09-2008 08:44 AM

well to make it suitable for me, it would be good if it was an afternoon or evening gig for U.S particapants in case I can't stay up till 4am...

Despare 04-09-2008 12:25 PM

Thursday night at 11 PM EST there will be a round. I'll let you all know the topic later tonight. I figure we usually do two a week so this will be the one before the Python round which as _V_ said, we still need a good time to hold. :)

neverending 04-09-2008 01:11 PM

I'm there!

YES! I was hoping you could be there, you're a busy guy though! Wouldn't have been the same without my faithful co-host and his curious questions!

You kidding?

I would never miss a chance to scramble NE's and newb's brains over one of my questions.

Good, they'll need some tough ones, Fortunato's a tough cookie on that classic horror too. Oh, what happened to Angrymob? He was doing well for a while. Let's not forget Cactus either, he snuck in and won a prize! So many other smart folks here, I don't think I could predict a winner!

neverending 04-10-2008 08:39 AM

With several rounds to go it's still anyone's game! Come one, come all!

newb 04-10-2008 08:52 AM

I should be there.

I've been in training using the Cliff Clavin buffalo theory for "brain building"

A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.

Excessive intake of beer, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers!
