I think so.
It's one of those movies that a lot of people hate, yes...but I thought it was ok, didn't see any HUGE problems with it.
It's not among my favourite films or anything, but I wouldn't consider it a waste of time...

Theatre of Blood last night!!!!

Amazing movie! Dr. Phibes was better, IMO, but they were very, very similar. His monologue [Im ashamed, I cant remember what itz from....and I call myself an actor] before he jumps off the balcony. Hamlet, wasnt it? To be or not to be, and all that jazz......brilliant.

Yes it was....I liked the poodle scene, and the hair dryer scene too.....Great black humor in there.

newb 12-29-2004 09:09 AM

Wicker Park....last night. What a rip...the previews make it out to be some kinda big mystery or perhaps even murder or pyschological thriller....turns out to be a fucking love story......puke.

Marroe 12-29-2004 09:49 AM

In the past few days I've seen

The Phantom of the Oprah; Alright in my opinion, but I would have rather kept the story without the musical dialogue. I guess a more modern take on the story.

Meet the Fockers; Funny shit

Shaun of the Dead; More funny shit

Angelakillsluts 12-29-2004 09:50 AM

...

Meet the fockers.

Great movie.

I thought the casting of Jill Valentine was perfect.

it may have suited the game but the introduction and characterization of her in the movie was awful ..

audiences are too smart for that kind of crap now ..

a cop that dresses like a hooker.

we already know we will have to suspend our belief with the whole zombie thing ... but at least make the characters real !

I keep coming back to this - but for good reason.

if you want greater impact from your audience you have to get them to buy into it emotionally .. and that can only be done through the characters.
No one will be able to identify with any of the cartoon characters in this movie..

This is the problem with alot of movies now. Personally I HAVE to buy into it or It can't even keep my concentration.

I was a theatre major in University, and we were taught that no matter how abstract a scene is it still has to be truthful, to win over the audience.

Surely you don't mean La Batts or Molsen. I may push the Budweiser but my tastes have matured much in the past few years.
Case in point...a fine brew at 7.2% alc. Will keep even you coldhearted Canadians warm.
