This is an acclaimed horror-comedy. Often compared to Evil Dead 2, though nowhere near as good.

It's not Misery because you said comedy but I just can't get the thought that kathy Bates says this out of my head. So, since Misery has it's moments with dark humor, I'll guess that one. Wait, this whole guess has sucked now that I read the Evil Dead 2 thing... nevermind. I better throw a guess in... Dead and Breakfast, that's all I got.
