Iron Maiden-Live after Death

Jacob Singer 07-11-2006 03:26 AM

New York Dolls- One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This . When I know that Silvian and Johansen Would do another album I thought that it would be another case of take the money and run....I was wrong. The album rocks!!! most of the new song could match on their classic albums. If you like this group, give it a chance and listen this new album.

Lacuna Coil, some sort of EP edition of all the singles. Not a huge fan but at only £5 thought it was well worth the price.

Miss Olivia 07-15-2006 11:14 AM

Power Ballads Gold- Various artists.
Couldn't resist the sweet cheesy eighties siren of Warrant, Cinderella, Skid Row, Kix, Tesla, Winger, and Queensryche.
Bring on the Aquanet.

Not too surprised on that choice.:D

On a whim I picked up AFI's new one "DECEMBERUNDERGROUND". I was looking for something a little different than my normal choices. Not bad....kind of a retro feel with some great vocals.

they were in a band (ron and russel Mael) called Halfneilson (spelling ?) before they formed sparks ..

i may be wrong but i think they went to the UK for a while before coming back to California to settle down..

This Town Aint Big Enough For the Both of Us ..
(and it aint me thats gonna leave :P)

amazing song ..

Jacob Singer 07-18-2006 12:35 PM

yes they were at UK several years ( where they did Kimono my house) but when they think that England became a too big influence to their music they returned to LA. Kimono and Indisscrete are my favourite albums, but they have all my respect 'cause they get something that other groups can`t THEIR MUSIC ONLY SOUND LIKE SPARKS MUSIC. Hasta mañana monsieur!

P.D maybe Propaganda is another great album!

IDrinkYourBlood 07-18-2006 06:29 PM

Rob Zombie - Educated horses
HED p.e. - Back To Base X

Yeh who would've figure I was into those guys haha :) Pretty cool album of theirs that I've never really given the time it deserved... well I don't think anyone did. Kinda the lesser known album in the MC5 arsenal.

You should check a band called Inepsy. There from Canada and do this punk rock Motorhead thing (kinda Motorhead meets Discharge). The album City Weapons is really cool. I think you'll dig it dude.

Just got back from the store with a copy of RUN DMC's Raising Hell that was in a sale bin.

Despare 07-20-2006 04:06 PM

Seether - One Cold Night

I really liked this one because it gave me warm fuzzy memories of "unplugged"s of days gone by like Nirvana and STP.

Elvis_Christ 07-21-2006 07:03 PM

DESTROY - Discoraphy 1990 -1994
ACCION MUTANTE - The Complete DIScography

Elvis_Christ 07-27-2006 05:57 PM

BLACK SABBATH - Paraniod and Master of Reality.... Sabbath sounds and looks shitty on CD but whatever.

MEGADETH - Countdown To Extinction:
Almost got all their good shit now... yay me :)

THE D4 - 6Twenty:
Found this real cheap pretty cool NZ rock n' roll album..... kinda in the vein of Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers. The song Heartbreaker is one of my all time favorite tunes. They did some kickass live shows till they called it quits a few months ago. Didn't really dig their second album but I might give it another try.

noctuary 07-29-2006 04:35 PM

Xasthur - Telepathic With the Deceased

Yeh the new Slayer isn't to bad. Nothing really jumped out and grabbed me right away but a couple of the tracks are growning on me especially the slower stuff. Some of the lyrics are pretty shitty but its still their best release since Divine Intervention.

Today I got:
JAWBOX - Grippe

Number 6 08-11-2006 07:02 PM

i'll wait and buy a used copy

great Jawbox album by the way

golden smog - anothe fine day. . . pretty good (i'm a big alterna-country fan and enjoy the groups these guys are in - golden smog is a kind of loose super-group made up of members of son volt, wilco, uncle tupelo, etc.)

but, i'm not entirely in love with this cd. . . bit 70s rock/skynrd-ish for me. . . but it'll grow on me

Elvis_Christ 08-14-2006 05:24 PM

SONIC YOUTH - A Thousand Leaves

Elvis_Christ 08-16-2006 08:11 PM
