Damn right, didn't make any sense, they should just go all the way and get rid of Manny so people can pitch around Ortiz and screw the whole season up.

hmm, let's count the number of penants -- -

now who's the fucking moron - LMAO :p

I never understand why yankee people use the ''we've got this many penants'' or ''look at all the rings'' because I really don't care. It's about the current/upcoming season.

well we didn't get swept at the end of last season - and i'll bet my bottom dollar we go further than the sucky ass boxsox this coming season.

past predicts future and the pink sox are already sliding back into mediocrity. . . pity really

Now that I think about it I guess the Braves aren't gonna skip a beat this season.

They seem to defy all logic when it comes to winning. I don't see how they take the division for 13 years straight with rosters that really aren't that fantastic. I guess Bobby Cox really IS a genius.

AUSTIN316426808 12-09-2005 06:24 PM

Chipper was hurt, bunch a rookies, nothing special in the bullpen. I don't know how he did it.

The rookies are just gonna get better, still got Andrew and Chipper, now Renteria plus whatever other moves they're going to make. Doesn't look like they're going to slow down anytime soon.

Well the Marlins are gonna suck, the Phillies can't win in their ballpark, and the Nationals lost their two big sluggers... their only real competition is the Mets.

IA75- Bears and Packers are both in the playoffs. Packers lose by 21,Bears lose by 3. Do you brag about how you lost by 18 points less?

KA-BLAMMO!

bwind22 12-10-2005 10:03 AM

Chicago @ Pittsburgh
St. Louis @ Minnesota

Hmmm.... I'd say it's about time to cut that division deficit down to 1.

We'll seeeee.... every time Sportscenter goes against us we win, so...

Plus Pitts lost 3 in a row, we've won 8... it doesn't matter who's played who, we're winning and they aren't. Bears win 16-10, Vikings lose 27-24

that's just wishful thinking.

You're probably right that the Bears will only score 1 TD though. (Assuming you got them to 16 with 1 TD and 3 FGs.) And it probably won't be offensive either.

AUSTIN316426808 12-10-2005 03:35 PM

Now come one, I know you're not talking about wishful thinking? You've been doing a good bit of that all season.

Expecting that your 9-3 team who's won eight straight with the best D in the league to beat a team who's lost 3 straight with a QB who isn't a 100% and has been making some bad mistakes lately isn't wishful thinking, it's completely rational.

ItsAlive75 12-11-2005 10:53 AM

Fuckin' Kyle Orton is the poster boy for de-evolution at the quarterback position.

bwind22 12-11-2005 12:14 PM

MIN 27
STL 13

CHI 9
PIT 21

Well, not to say I told you all so.... But.... Well, yeah I guess that is my intention afterall!

I TOLD YOU SO! MuHAWHAHA!!!!

GO Vikes!!!!

Week 17 vs. Bears will be HUGE! Mark my words!

MisterSadistro 12-11-2005 12:22 PM

Doh ! Can't wait to see the papers all screaming for Rex Grossman to be starter now tomorrow. 8 straight brings "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" to mind and in Bears' fans' minds, it just broke LOL

I kept saying don't pull Orton til they lose. They lost. Pull him.

bwind22 12-11-2005 11:24 PM

The Bears defense is one of the best in the league, but they aren't going anywhere with no offense. The Vikings are playing great football right now (On all sides of the ball, not just one.) and breathing down their necks... This week spelled the beginning of the end for the Chicago Bears dreamlike season.

Next week

Atl @ Chi
Pitt @ Min

We both have pretty good games next week and I could easily see both games going either way. Vikes and Bears could be evened up after all is said and done or the Bears could put that lead back to 2. Should be a good week of football...

AUSTIN316426808 12-22-2005 05:30 PM

This thread's been kinda quite since the Vikings lost their flicker of hope.

Not ''one of''...it's the best.

As for the offense issue, Grossman is healthy, I wouldn't say the McMahon era is back just yet but he looked pretty damn good Sunday.

Ah, the thread's back.

Feelin' good. Bears have a competant QB, 6 pro bowlers... feelin' good. You guys should feel good too, you play Detroit this weekend.
