Much love for Hammer's list. Monster movies ftw. Sculpts is good too.

...opinion may be a taaaad biased as those are the only two lists with a werewolf film. C'mon guys

My list (originals only)
  1. The Howling
  2. Psycho
  3. Halloween
  4. Friday 13th
  5. American Werewolf in London
  6. Hellraiser
  7. Jaws
  8. Hills Have Eyes
  9. Poltergeist
  10. Exorcist
  11. Scream
  12. House on Haunted Hill
  13. Frankenstein
  14. Dracula
  15. Wolf Man

I want to add so many more, but these are my favorite classics and if they don't get you into horror, nothing will.

Love the movie!! Can't tell you how many times I have watched it!! The 2nd one was a MAJOR disappointment and it will never be added to my list.

This fifteen is as fun as any that's been posted. There's quite a few that I wouldn't put on my list, but there are pretty much NONE there that I don't find very entertaining. I love that you have House OF 1,000 Corpses on your list. That's such a polarizing film among Horror lovers. Myself, I'm a fan, but you just know you're going to get a strong reaction when you bring up that title. I think that's actually true for most if not all of RZ's cinematic work.

I love all of Zombie's films accept for Lords of Salem, despised it. I am really curious how his new one turns out (31) and I hope its more like House of 1,000 Corpses.

damn somehow I forgot to put Hellraiser on my list

Yeah, once you think your list is solid, another title pops up and makes you wonder how you left it off.

No particular order. Most are favorites from childhood.

A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Halloween 2-1981. That's right! 2, not 1.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Silver Bullet
The Fog-1980 version.
Fright Night-1985.
The Lost Boys.
Night of the Demons.
Night of the Creeps.
Friday the 13th.
Psycho.
The Funhouse.
Near Dark.
The Innocents-1961.
Frankenstein-1931.

Nice list. Funhouse did deliver the horror, didn't it? I saw that in the theatre. Same with Halloween 2, had some moments -- the opening, vehicle, hospital parking lot to Meyers busting through the glass door. Carpenter (co-writer) was Part 2 and done.

I debated putting Silver Bullet on my list... It would probably be 16 if I extended it. Along with a few sequels like Hellraiser and Friday the 13th, 2 and 3. And Halloween 2 and 4. I really wanted to put The Howling IV on my list as it's my favorite of any sequel, but I had at least the first Howling listed so figured it was good enough.

...maybe I should just make another list just for sequels. ::big grin::
