I watched it as well and liked it. Not posting doesn't mean not watching. Del Toro is one of my favorite makers so I will watch anything associated with him.

Name a song that can work for a slasher homage video...how about 'Blow me away' by Breaking Benjamin or Blink 182's 'I miss you'?

Excellent effort. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the coming days.

Every once in a while I have to tune in to remember how fun this internet radio station is, and this is just the season for it. Welcome to Weirdsville Radio features a unique conglomeration of lighthearted and bizarre horror and Halloween themed music and ephemera. Spike Jones, Weird Al, The Munsters, Addams Family, Dickie Goodman, and lots of weird and obscure stuff that will have you scratching your head, including old radio horror movie ads and sound bites. Spotify really, really sucks compared to this. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Highly recommended and seconded rec for this season. I have it on everytime I am online.

It's the closest to NEW Radio as you can get. Definitely check it out, guys.

My fiancee and I are going to start working at a haunted trail this weekend. It's nothing super fancy but they always have a pretty good turn out each year and we are super excited to be involved. I've always wanted to work at a haunt and this is finally my year. This Halloween is going to be awesome!!!!

Went outside and walked around in the darkness a bit. The air was cool and somebody was burning leaves somewhere. A very nostalgic feeling came over me. I remembered and longed for a time when Halloween was very different than it is now. It was a time of donning disguises and abandoning all forms of parental supervision. My friends and I would revel in our freedom as we roamed the neighborhood looking for people to scare and loot to score. It was still okay to give kids home made popcorn balls and cookies. And we loved them! There was a sense of leaving civilization behind and embracing the dark and wild.

A few years later, armed with my Dick Smith Do It Yourself Make Up Book, I would get myself up as a vampire or mummy and transform my back yard into a haunted attraction- all by myself. I'd construct a cardboard coffin and fill it with a a homemade dead body. Add a few skulls and tiki torches, and Disney's Thrilling Sounds of a Haunted House playing in the background, I would scare the wits out of the neighborhood kids. They got their reward for braving my chamber of horrors!

This year I'll be working on Halloween. I'm not complaining. I'm thankful to have a job. But, I'll miss celebrating my favorite holiday. The only day we honor our dark side, our wild, primitive nature.

No hayride, just a trail through the woods behind a friend's house, we aren't getting paid either it's just people who want to come together to get dressed up and run around through the woods scaring the crap out of people. I have 4 days to get my costume and my fiancee's costume ready so I'm probably going to spend a couple hours in Walmart tonight grabbing up supplies. I've never seen the movie Hayride before :(

Enjoyed reading this. Good to remember Halloween is a state of mind, and we are (almost) always free to romp in that state. Congrats on the job.
