Hardest game series I have ever played. I do nothing but swear at the game and thow shit across the room. I havent played that one in particular because I have never had a Sony system so I can't comment on that.

It makes me think about how I don't get into video games.

I found the theme/atmosphere of them pretty good.
I LOVED the old arcade version but I cannot find it anywhere.
Like halloween #3, "simons quest" stands on its own in this series, I actually thought it was a step in a better direction.
I have not played many of these titles, other than whichever one was on the Sega Megadrive, I quite liked that - the rest I've largely started playing on various emulators, then stopped...they all seem the same...
PS1, N64 and any of the 3d ones I haven't played.
I have a couple on DS but have not yet bothered with them.

What I think, is that konami should take more time developing a GOOD, unique Castlevania game that stands out in its own, rather than drumming out a lot of clone titles as they have seemingly done so far.

Kyle Reese from Terminator
Hicks from Aliens
He was also in The Abyss, Navy Seals, the extended edition of T2 (which IMO along with the special edition of aliens, was awesome), The Rock, Tombstone, and also had a number of parts in a lot of decent quality action/sci-fi films as well...that should about clear it up. - Wasn't a great picture, doesn't really show him in his most recognisable form, looks more like he's posing for some old 80's teen magazine in that one.

I remember playing Castlevania on Sega Genesis when I was a kid. Since the game was creepy and gothic, I automatically thought it was cool.
That being said, I haven't really played video games much since those days, so I don't know what the new games are like.

Loved the originals from nintendo and sega. Stopped playing them for a long time til i found an arcade version on XBOX360. Pretty fun but just as frustrating as the older ones.

Very interesting views on Castlevania. I think it was one of the most challenging games ever conceived, back during the console revolution of the 90s. Very engaging and addictive too.

Anyway...moving on.

What do you think of...
