I love Dark Age Nordic history, especially Norwegian. I've even read all the Icelandic sagas that have been translated into English, even The Heimskringla. I especially like Egil's Saga and all the other sagas featuring Eric Bloodaxe, a crazy son of a bitch from an especially crazy line.

The Vikings moving their long ships across land has always fascinated me, as has the Ragnarsson's conquest of England.

I wear a Mjolnir pendant everywhere I go (forged by the very dwarves). I like Odin hanging from the World Tree, a sacrifice to himself, for the secret of the runes. I like Baldur's story a whole lot, and my favorite Nordic hero is Sigard from the Volsung Saga.

Damn straight. If I were a Scandanavian, I'd be all over Norse history and mythology. I read both Eddas, the prose and the rhyming, but I'm sure they were much cooler in a Nordic tongue.
I heard that Varg Vickernes (hope I spelled his name right) and some other church-burning black metal guys were starting a Viking resergance in Norway. Is that big? I always thought burning the stave churches was stupid, though. Those things are just beautiful.
