Most of them are known nationally which in itself is relatively large, but no, I don't see it being available in a huge portion of the overseas market. Does that make them bad though? I'll let you judge - I've found stuff from most of them pretty easily online. |

I didn't say that though, just that they weren't garage bands...there seems to be the general vibe in this thread that if something doesn't make a large impact on the international market that this is a negative thing.
Personally, I'd prefer any of the bands I'd mentioned than most of the music from AUS that has seen more success abroad. |

i remember there was a bit of an australian wave in the 80's after the success of Men at Work .. is Skyhooks another one ? and Lime Spiders ? i used to think split enz was australian until i was set straight ... i loved those guys. one awfiul band came out of australia - i cant remember if it was the little river band or air Supply |
