Either you don't live in england or you're school goes up to year seven. In most places in england we start High school at twelve.



We start High School at 14 in the states.

but don't you only start reception (what you call kindegarten) at 6? We start it at 4 and it carries on like this.

Infant School

KEY STAGE 1
Reception - 4 to 5
year 1- 5 to 6
year 2 - 6 to 7

Junior School/middle school

KEY STAGE 2
year 3 - 7 to 8
year 4 - 8 to 9
year 5 - 9 to 10
year 6 - 10 to 11

High School

KEY STAGE 3
year 7 - 11 to 12
year 8 - 12 to 13
year 9 - 13 to 14

KEY STAGE 4
year 10 - 14 to 15
year 11 - 15 to sixteen

Then we have the option to go to sixth form for a few years, go straight to college or just leave and get a job.

So I was wrong, we start high school at 11.

i am in 7th right now.....

Ha! I'm in year 9 at the mo. That's the equivalent of eigth grade. We learn everything a year earlier.
