I usually classify gore as internal organs and really bloody messes

dawn of the dead... old version... when the zombies ripped out his stomach was just rotten. not goriest ever, just a gross scene

sleepy hollow was nicely done. at least 12 heads chopped off on screen, and a guy sliced in half, and all that hacking at dead people and what n ot. by todays movie standards, not that gory i guess, but, it was so nicely done and stuff. definently up there

Yeah, it wasn't a bloody mess cause if you remember in the film, they did mention the horseman's sword actually carterized the wounds which explains the lack of splattering blood. :)

lol Yeah, that was a "rotten scene".... literally. I read an article about that movie which stated the pig intestines they used were frozen solid or something like that where dude was to get ripped apart in the hallway. But they had left em out over the weekend, and after the scene was over the cast and crew ran away gagging. :D

I'm gonna agree with whoever said the Guinea Pig series and Men Behind the Sun. those are intense. the custard scene in Dead Alive nearly made me gag. the blood-monster in Entrails of a Beautiful Woman, while obviously fake and kinda stupid looking, made me throw my Tomato-Basil salad dressing in the garbage.

and while not a "gore" scene, another scene that nearly made me gag was in Audition when bagged-up-guy eats the vomit.

I guess those are the only ones that have truly grossed me out.

the Cannibal movies rely too much on the viewer being grossed out by animals getting killed and the eating of mystery meat. as you may note to the left, I'm from Bamie, so watching animals getting killed and prepared for a meal is really no big deal for me. sorry, Deo.

Whats the definition of "goriest"?? Is it body count, amount of blood in a movie, most disturbing and violent killing scenes??

Hmmmm.... I haven't seen alot of the movies mentioned here....yet! But so far, from what I've seen, Hellbound: Hellraiser II is quite nasty. I've had to look away a couple of times:( ......And that's a rarity with me.....
