i had a sam adams years ago during a visit to washington .. and was impressed by it.

i had one years later and it didnt seem as good....

You know which American beer I really like? And it sounds crazy, because it's such a common cheap beer. Miller. Plain old ordinary Miller High Life, I find it has a snappy flavor, very upbeat. Miller Ice and Miller Genuine Draft are both crap. They're bitter and weird, like someone at the brewery was trying too hard that day or squeezing the hops too long. Just the regular old, Plain Jane Miller.

If I have to drink something from somewhere else, it's Guiness Stout all the way. Reminds me of coffee, except for the you're on the floor part.

America has some great beers.I'm not talking about mass produced beers like Budweiser or Miller. The aforementioned Sam Adams being one, Long Trail Brewery being another.......perhaps something from the Stone Brewing Co, maybe a nice strong Arrogant Bastard or if your in the mood, a hoppy DogFish Head brew.
