I Now Pronounce You And Chuck And Larry - Bleh. Never really been a fan of Sandler's movies.

30 Days of Night - Fucking dope.

Kane_Hodder 11-14-2007 05:11 PM

The Funhouse. Some good kills but it could have been better.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry-I like Adam Sandler so... I liked this.

I actually found that movie to be incredibly... Dull and overrated... As though it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be Horror, Thriller, Ensemble, or Period Piece... I think it wanted to be a Period Piece... But the latter focus on Jake Gyllenhaal's disintegration toward the end made me think that maybe it was a psychological piece...? Maybe...?

...

Last night I watched The Station Agent.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rl/station.jpg

Charming melancholic indie film about misanthropes finding each other.

...

WOW that description was pretty cheesy.

Anyway... It was nice, well-directed and quirky.

I'd say great filmmaking. Impressive as hell. The work of a major talent at his prime. One of the best constructed films I've ever seen, but it never pulled me in to the point of terror.

That's one thing it could have done better, but as we were following the press throughout the majority of the movie I guess it is hard to put across.

Christian Bale was lovely, a real Fight Club for the more mature movie goer.

The Wind That Shakes The Barley

Powerful stuff. And yes there's a three legged dog, just like in all Ken Loach films.

Never seen the show Firefly but this movie was great. I enjoyed the action. Joss Whedon is a good director and writer. I enjoy his stuff like Buffy and Angel this is no exception. Good acting, fun action, and good storyline.

...Then you should absolutely check out Firefly...at (here) lower than the price of most dvd movies, the whole series is an excellent buy. I actually preferred the series also...they're both great, and I'm happy to own both.

Awesome. If I can find it at a local place I will definitely pick it up if it's as good or even better then the movie. Awesome.

awww i loved that film, i had to go see it for nathan fillion and the fact that the writer and director is dead, even tho she's in it........ funny and bitter sweet

"Shelly's death was first considered a suicide. Days later, a 19-year-old Ecuadorian illegal immigrant and construction worker confessed to slaying the actress, who he left hanging by a bedsheet from a shower rod in the bathroom of her Manhattan office/apartment. She was found by her husband."

Beowolf

Disappointing to say the least, Beowolf was a warrior not a braggart and casting Ray Winstone in the title role was a mistake IMO, he has the perfect voice for it but he can't hide his roots, Vikings did not have cockney accents :(

I'm glad i've seen it, it was worth watching for the animation and graphics alone but, much as i love mythology this is one movie i won't be buying

Disease 11-17-2007 06:41 AM

I finally got to watch the end of "A scanner darkly"

I think it is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.. Linklaters best work ever, though a lot of it can be contributed to the source material he was working with.
