28 Weeks Later was awesome! I loved 28 Days Later but the sequel is actually better than the first. Great movie and it is a must see.

M*A*S*H (1970)

Really an excellent film, probably my favorite of Altman's.

Children of Men ~ loved the book, so didn't know how I would feel about the movie. But its an excellent film, very well done.

9.5/10 - Planet Terror
An almost perfect Zombie film IMO. This was my second time watching it. It's one of those films that gets better every time you see it. It's full of action, killer dialog, gore, laughs, and plenty of exploitation. Any horror film fan should see it ASAFP.

Why in French?

hellfire1 10-17-2007 06:06 PM

Boyfriend had never seen it, and didn't feel like reading subtitles, so in French it was.

"Wolfman's got nards" was massacred.... damn dubbing.

Bruce was never better (well...except in Die Hard), and some of the sequences are absolutely jaw-dropping. I am strongly tempted to give this a 8, but there were some technical aspects which were slightly wanting...yet, this is a very strong movie, so I give it a

The Host (2007)

Good, even great. The storytelling was very well done, but some of the visuals were a little well-done...anyone know what I'm saying? I could've done with a little less creature exposure, which weakened the final product immensely. Some of the CGI was too much.

Buy I really did enjoy it quite a bit.

Halloween (2007) finally *very minor spoilers for those who still haven't seen it*

Meh... it wasn't as bad as I was expecting after hearing the opinions of some on this forum. Of course there are elements I could do without (the white trash background... the whole "reunion"scene which made me roll my eyes just a bit), but it's still worth a watch.

joshaube 10-18-2007 06:17 PM

Just finished the fifth installment in the A Nightmare on Elm Street series. I've enjoyed the fourth a great deal, and the visuals in this fifth part are just a tad worse. Still, some great effects (and some terrible ones). The highlight was Freddy's separation from the lead. Excellent.
