Not bad, pretty cool creatures, a little bit uber cool, but at the least the CGI didn't get to out of hand.. 7/10 Hatchet Damn cool, simple story, good Horror fun..... and some realy bad acting mixed in witht the gore.. 7/10 |

Mad Monster Party
A Rankin/Bass stop-motion movie with all the classic monsters and Phyllis Diller to boot...what could go wrong? Everything. It is without a doubt the worst Rankin/Bass production. Nothing about this movie works. I remember it from my childhood, but hadn't seen it in ages. It's terrible. The pacing is miserably slow, scenes drag on without a point and the voice acting is completely uninspired. The look is beautiful and the story isn't bad, but everything else fails. 3/10 |

House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark
Priceless comedy in my opinion. |
The Monster Squad (1987)
Endlessly entertaining, and astonishingly fun. I had never seen it before, but it's definately on my "to buy" list now. |
The Black Dahlia ~ its "looks" good enough, but is really a bit of a bore, and a tad silly. Some of the casting was just terrible.

Fracture- hated it

Hopkins character could have been so much more devious yet sympathic. To put it simply-it could have been MORE. A good director, editor could have had this movie turned into an instant fucking classic. It had good bones, so to speak. |

The Howling
Unfortunately Joe Dante's fun werewolf romp came out the same year as An American Werewolf in London. Rob Bottin's make-up FX are cool, the story ain't bad, the actors do a good job, cameos from Roger Corman and Forrest J Ackerman are nice, but this one falls a little flat. I would place this one rather high on my list of remake candidates. 6.5/10 |

Call of Cthulu
This contemporary B/W silent short film was quite impressive, especially for its budget. The best yet adaptation of HP Lovecraft. Cool style.I look forward to the director's next effort. 7.5/10 |
