Right you are!

horrorman 10-10-2013 09:02 PM

O-k, here's one. It might be easy, but here you go.

Sculpt 10-11-2013 01:08 PM

Is that "Arctic Insectivores"?

horrorman 10-13-2013 09:49 PM

No, actually it has nothing to do with insects.

Hint: what it is actually has nothing to do with the plot.

Sicknero 10-14-2013 02:53 AM

Waxwork 1988.

horrorman 10-14-2013 09:34 PM

Correct, your turn.

Sicknero 10-15-2013 02:05 AM

Woo hoo.

This should be quite easy I think -

Sculpt 10-16-2013 10:53 AM

Is that from the movie "See, My Brick Likes You"? Maybe we need a hint.

Sicknero 10-16-2013 01:20 PM

Not seen that, is it any good? :)

This one's based on a true story.

Sicknero 10-22-2013 01:24 AM

Really? None of you know this film?

It's British, it's written around a true story, the guy with the "brick" is Dickie Attenborough, and the story in question is famous for a possible miscarriage of justice.

That's the one :-)

The story of serial killer John Christie, this film takes the popular line that Timothy Evans who was accused of murdering his wife and daughter (and hanged for the latter in 1950), was in fact innocent and framed by Christie.

One of the main arguments in Evans' defense is the unlikely co-incidence of two killers living at the same address. He was postumously pardoned in 1966, but the case is still still debated.

Great film anyway, Attenborough does an excellently creepy job of playing Christie.

Ditto, a great film indeed & Attenborough was also convincingly menacing as John Christie. Loved John Hurt's performance also...there were some desperate, emotionally moving moments from his side. One of the most underrated early 70s gems; NE (neverending) is also another great admirer of this movie.

Anyway, here's my challenge from a great flick of early 80s....

Sicknero 11-08-2013 01:07 AM

horrorman 11-09-2013 05:12 PM

It is not Silver Bullet and it is not Prince of Darkness.

No, hint: it is a vampire movie.

The Villain 11-11-2013 07:24 PM

Fright Night?

Sculpt 11-12-2013 05:37 PM

Now that you mention it, I think it is Fright Night. Melting with sunlight was an odd choice.
