I could have cared less what his earlier films were, they were just showcases for the things he could do. Not every action movie needs to be smart but I'll agree that he can't continue to star in such shallow films.

i saw and ad for Benjamin Button and had mixed feelings ..

it looked like another simon birch ... taking an outlandish premise for the express purpose of holding a mirror up to ourselves.


i find that oftimes these films try to be far more weightier than they are - not quite as deep as they attempt to be.

hopefully i'm wrong but that was the gut impression i got when i saw the trailer at the theatre a while back.

but i find filmmakers unfortunately have the tendancy to become hamfisted with this kind of material
