I'm playing lots of World at War and Smackdown Vs. Raw lately, haven't had time to get into the others.

Funny.

I find the (Horror) atmosphere lacking in Bioshock. Love the music score, but it doesn't at any time feel like a horror game. It's more like a fantasy shoot-em-up.

Love the tense atmosphere in Dead Space.

And for the record, i didn't bash Dark Knight. I just said it wasn't all that. Definitely not the top 3 movie 2008 for me.

I was kidding, saying TDK isn't the best movie in the past decade is considered bashing it now. Didn't you get the memo? As for the atmosphere, I'd say it was a dark sci-fi adventure with plenty of horror undertones but most of all I'd say it was fantastic. I don't know, I'm not a big sci-fi guy but the Ayn Rand influence was awesome and really set the mood. I'm (hopefully) going to start Dead Space tonight.

What can go wrong?

Well usually I play World at War or Left 4 Dead online if my cousins/brother/friends are on and I'm not sure what the wife wants to do tonight. Roads are crappy here so I'm sure she won't want to go out but who knows. How's Dead Space? I'm hoping for a story-lite game with plenty of jumps and lots of action.

Dead space is all about atmosphere. Think Alien/Aliens.

Also the weapons are pretty damn cool. ;)

So, nobody's played this one?

I'm about to start into it now...worth the time?

I am too. The original game has actually aged well. It's still a blast.

The Mothman 01-11-2009 09:11 AM

wanna try multiplayer sometime?
there's no servers, but I could start one.

Sure. I still have to get another subscription to Gold. And I need a better way to hook up my system.

In one word - wonderful.

You ll love the atmosphere and the finishing moves. Levels can be a bit repetitive, but that can be overlooked.

Its gorgeous, scary as hell and a blast.

I thought about that, but I'm curious if it would reach my system. My computer is in a room attached to the garage, while I am upstairs on the opposite end. I didn't want to spend the $100, and find out it doesn't work. Gamestop won't take it back. :(

Edit

I didn't ever notice it til you posted that picture, but the background on the HDC forum boxes, is an almost green color.

Where the hell have you been. GTA V is great........you sleep with one of the whores in the game and you actually wake up the next morning....in real life....with an STD.

ahhhhhh.....good times

Angra 01-18-2009 11:28 AM

"Fallout 3" ps3

Getting better and better, but i'd still prefer a new Elder Scrolls.

Yes, i'm old'n medieval.

GTA IV:) .

Phalanx 01-18-2009 07:08 PM

Actually, the 5th one was GTA3.

missmacabre 01-18-2009 08:35 PM

Gears 2....

The_Return 01-19-2009 05:23 AM

Geist

Still working away at this one...it's not awful, but it isn't very good either. The controls are really sluggish - I'm stuck on the first boss type thing because the control make it damn near impossible to avoid his fire.

Still - seems like an OK shooter. I wont quite give up on it yet.

Geddy 01-23-2009 06:21 PM

Tron Light Cycles.

Totally Agree.

Took advantage of my bro's xbox and high def t.v these past 3 weeks.

Beat Gears of war 2(Thought first was way over-rated, but I love both of them now).

Beat GTA IV. Started playing Orange box, Great deal for the Great Games.

So I loved fallout 3. As mentioned by Angra a new elder scrolls would be better(old 'n medieval myself) I was very surprised how short the story was, I got to the last part and accidentally saved(along with my auto save) and couldnt go back, so I had to go to an old save to go through alot of side stuff.

My bro played Resistance 2 and can anyone tell me why it was so great? Personally we both thought it sucked BIG TIME. I think it is one of the most over-rated games EVER and in no way should have gotten such high scores.

Left 4 Dead was pretty cool but I got bored after a while, I don't have online and thats the big draw but it was still cool and the random hordes freaked me out when you could hear them coming.

Despare 01-24-2009 01:35 PM

Been playing a lot of Fallout 3 lately. I can't remember a game in recent times that I've been so excited about playing through again as an evil sonofabitch.

illdojo 01-25-2009 07:02 PM

Call Of Duty: World At War on Wii. I haven't even played the actual game yet because I can't stop playing chumps online.

CrimsonFiend138 01-30-2009 04:23 AM

Metal Gear Solid 4.

newb 01-30-2009 05:23 AM

ChronoGrl 01-31-2009 02:20 PM

Playing through Fallout 3 for the 360 for the second time... Just trying to wrap up the quests that I didn't get around to the first time around and avoiding the really big quests.

Also just picked up a PS3 (the Blu-Ray player that we wanted was sold out so we decided to go for the PS3) and with it Little Big Planet.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...onogrl/lbp.jpg

It's cute, charming, but I got bored quickly.

Bored!? You seem like a creative person... make some stuff!

We need to play some damn Left 4 Dead. You should be on later (after the UFC fight...).

I think my attention span is just limited today, no knock of the game. I'm going to aim to get the boyfriend into Left 4 Dead tonight, too. Hope he doesn't mind my screeching. :o

I was just kidding, even with Gary's Mod I could only "build" for a little while at a time before wanting something a bit more linear in design. Remind me, on Left 4 Dead can I play on my XBox online with you and your boyfriend on yours? I forget if you're allowed to have multiple people on one console online.
