Watchmen...

As much as I like the other two, Spiderman 2 had the most heart. Spiderman 2 upped the ante for superhero movies when it came to story, emotional content and artistic vision. As much as Batman paved the way, it was as shallow as most Burton projects and had nothing really going for it except Jack Nicholson as the fedora'ed gangster sociopath the Joker was in his first few appearances and that doesn't hold as much water as a Pulitzer prize winner helping to bring a superhero story that isn't just about action to life.

watchmen - Hopefully films like this and Sin City are opening the door for lots more cool comic-to-film adaptations to come... (Preacher!)

I really hope Preacher ends up as an original series for HBO. There's no way they could make a stand alone movie and not ruin the story due to length.

Anyway, since Batman ousted Conan while I wasn't watching, Watchmen shall have vengeance for me.
