Phantom of the Opera (1943)

As much as love everything and anything to do with Phantom, this one was a little disappointing. It wasn't bad by any means, but there was way too much Opera and not nearly enough Phantom. The overall look of the film was amazing though, and Claude Rains made a great Phantom...shame he didnt get much time on screen.

Angel Heart ~ Haven't seen it in years, but as good as I remembered, really like this film a lot, even though yes, it has its flaws.

The Truman Show ~ First time viewing this and I really enjoyed it.

Running On Empty ~yeah, made my husband watch this one.....;)

The Evil Dead ~ one of my favorites.

No, you are thinking of Primal Force. Primal Fear is a courtroom thriller/drama with Richard Gere and Edward Norton.

It was okay.

Too bad all the good guys had to die and the most annoying pain in the ass had to survive. WHAT THE HELL WAS HOMER THINKING?!!!

A massive Troy Director's Cut is coming out this fall, so you might want to give it another chance then. The theatrical cut was so-so in my books, but apparently this cut transforms an average film into an 'epic'. Who knows.

Tonight's schedule:
The Chumscrubber
My Life Without Me
Talk to Her & Amores Perros

Angra 07-08-2007 02:57 PM

"Evil aliens" 7/10

Low budget but good gory fun, like Peter Jackson would've done it. :)

Thank You For Smoking - A great piece of satire. Far better then I expected it to be.

The Chumscrubber - A dark comedy my ass. I love dark comedies... but this wasn't funny at all, not even in the dark sense. In fact, I bawled. I absolutely loved this movie; it's not perfect... the acting would be the weakest point (still it's at all bad), but this is my kind of movie. I loved it.

Blood & Chocolate

It's a warewolf movie with a typical Bollywood type of story.

The animation was pretty cool & the setting was definately creative but I found the story to be kinda complicated and the film, as a whole, to be too long for an animated tale. It was okay, but I wasn't blown away by any means.

Transformers. 08/10

Totally solid entertainer. Forget John McClane's 4th tryst with terrorism, forget the plethora of superheroes on the screen this summer...this is one movie which has come to rock your socks!!

Dynamic script, awesome cinematography, slick direction by Michael Bay, and some of the best action sequences to have ever come across a movie screen...all add to the best movie experience I ve had all summer yet.

And of course, Megan Fox is my all-new fetish.;)

Go guys, get blown away. This is one movie you DONT wanna miss out on.

MAxed out: VERY interesting documentary about the credit system in America. Full of fun, disturbing insight that would make Michael Moore Jealous, especially since they didnt have to bend any information to get their point across.
