Last King of Scotland

Great performance by Forrest Whittaker, intriguing story and the bonus of a small role from Gillian Anderson:) . But why must we have a white protagonist in a story about Africa? Same thing as in Blood Diamond...it just makes it all feel so phony. But Kerry Washington, the actress playing one of Amin's wives, Kay is so stunning that she makes up for it.

The Faculty - 9/10
not only does this movie rock, but it has a good soundtrack, Zeke is hot, and i love the car. when i get a car that is what it will be, this was decided in second grade.

i watched all of these movies last night because i was bored and wasn't allowed on the internet cause my douche of a stepdad wanted to sleep downstairs cause it was too fucking hot upstairs. so i watched movies all night, i ended up dozing off sometime during the Faculty, waking up at various odd times. so now i'm running on like 4 hours of sleep, which for me isn't good cause i get extremely cranky without at least 8 hours of sleep. this is just another example of how stupid i am when i get really, really, really bored. however, i did manage to get some laundry done.

American Psycho- 7/10

Good acting/story/gore when present, but it's really over hyped.

Vodstok 06-07-2007 11:04 AM

Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgandy. I love this movie. Brick is the greatest stupid character in history.
"I killed a guy. I stabbed him in the heart with a trident." :)

Half of fight club. Its amazing. I still love it, but what i thought was deep and intrguing about Tyker Durden when I was 26 I now think is makes him a small minded prick at 31.

Stranger Than Fiction

What a jewel of a movie!
I had no idea this would turn out to be such a charming little film.
Will Ferrel is an actual actor in this, I had my doubts after seeing his string of comedies....

5 STARS:)

Black X-mas (remake)- 6/10

It was better than I expected it to be actually. It isn't *good* by any means, but the kills are fantastic, and the acting is overrall acceptable. The gore is really good, it's worth a view for the gore alone. It isn't scary or anything, but this is worth at least a rent. The thing is... it's not like the original... meaning the killer. It's weird, you'll see. It actually makes decent sense at times, but overrall is random. It's ok for a mindless slasher gore fest though.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2

Nothing like the first one at all. Although, in my personal opinion, that's a good thing. It didn't try to live up to what the original film was, nor did it try too hard to be a better film. It was a faster moving, more goofiness and much less boring of a movie. Check this out the next time you are at the movie store.

John Tucker Must Die

I had to give it a shot because Posher is always going on a bout it. I really wanted to hate it, but instead I simply didn't care about anything in it. I dig high school comedies. Breakfast Club, Can't Hardly Wait, Superbad...these are fun films. JTMD isn't. A few chuckles, a little jiggle.

The Faculty - love this movie, could watch it over and over - 8/10

I Know What You Did Last Summer - okay movie, it's one of the rare cases where the movie is better than the book (which is by Louis Duncan) - 6/10

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer - sadly not as good as the first one (which is really sad) - 5.5/10

Donnie Darko

I have to say, my expectations were really high for this one. And it really did pay off. I'm going to be moving this movie to the number two spot on my favorite film list. For anyone who hasn't seen this, check it out now.

Four Rooms.

Didnt expect much from this one, but it was surprisingly good. All the characters turn in decent performances, and it has some really quirky humor interspersed with some genuinely funny sequences.

Overall, a nice comedy. Recommended by me.

House on the Edge of the Park.

Much publicised Ruggero Deodato of Cannibal Holocaust fame tries his hand at (s)exploitation. And does it rather neatly. The most adamant critic will shout "rip-off of Last House on the Left", but actually House is much more...its sadistic, brutal, hard-hitting and it leaves a feeling of absolute distaste and repulsion by the time its over. A totally graphic and realistic movie, with a neat plot twist tucked in it.

Recommended for the gorehounds out there. Not for the feeble-minded or the squeamish.

Titan A.E. - 7/10

as i kid i really liked this movie (like when i first came out), mostly because of Goon.....I'M DONE WITH MY NAP!!! (then he starts blowin' shit to hell). but i watched it last night and realized the animation wasn't that great, but Goon still rocked.
