I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA (1988). Early Wayans Brothers film that is a parody of the Blaxploitation films that started in the 70's and is in the same vein as their later SCARY MOVIE franchise. Quite a few misses, but an awful lot of hits that are truly funny. A great cast, many who were involved in blaxploitation...Jim Brown (SLAUGHTER, BLACK GUNN), Issac Hayes (SHAFT, SOUTH PARK), Bernie Casey (DR BLACK AND MR HYDE, REVENGE OF THE NERDS), Antonio Fargas (FOXY BROWN, TV's STARSKY AND HUTCH), Clarence Williams 3 (TALES FROM THE HOOD, TV's THE MOD SQUAD), John Vernon (ANIMAL HOUSE, CHAINED HEAT, KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE), Clu Gulagher (THE HIDDEN, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD), Ja'Net Dubois (TV's GOOD TIMES), Eve Plumb (TV's THE BRADY BUNCH) and a young Chris Rock. ***

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981). A long time favorite...it has Everything. Action, Suspense, Comedy, Great FX, a rousing score and awesome cast...thought then and now that Harrison Ford and adorable Karen Allen had wonderful chemistry together and would have loved to have seen more of them in the sequels (Lets forget the last Indy film, the one about the Skulls...had to give up after 20 minutes it was so bad). The opening segment is classic with more excitement in those ten minutes than many movies have in their entirety. Still and always *****

I got around to watching A Nightmare on Elm Street again. The more the sequels get towards the back of your mind, the more you notice how genuinely scary it is. A true classic.

Also, knowing all the stuff that was to come afterwards... hearing a blue balls Johnny Depp say "morality sucks" is kind of funny.
