GRAN TORINO-2008. Somewhat disappointed the first time I viewed this, but a really good film and I feel one of Eastwood's best performances. His Cranky Racist is no one I'd want to be around, but actually brings a lot of humor to the story ;ie "Get Off My Lawn" and the look on his face when Son/Daughter-In-Law are showing him assisted living brochures. Clint is actually almost noble by the denouement. ****

You ain't kidding. It's nothing like the original. It's a dark comedy parody.

yah, there's honestly something about the home made, independent feel of the original that makes the movie better, it makes you feel the real terror of the subject matter which comes from the inspiration of what ed gein was...

I also saw Strange Invaders, love the alien style gore/blood/skin ripping.

Definitely, Tobe Hooper was a documentary cameraman, and the intro of TCSM has, not only a documentary feel, but also some inexplicable tone that produces a gut feeling of dread, of real danger, like a 90's doc on the LA riots.

I'll put Strange Invaders on my list.

Revisited one of my favorite Dario Argento films, Deep Red!
the pounding music, the crazy murder scenes, the black gloves! The great mystery of it all, and a great finale that will shock just about anyone, come swim in the deep red sea!
