Villanous John Saxon (NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, ENTER THE DRAGON) threatens to destroy a peaceful planet, so a young lad (Richard Thomas from THE WALTON'S::shocked::) sets out to find some professional fighters to help aid the inhabitants. This has a great cast; George Peppard (THE A TEAM), Darlene Fluegel (TOUGH GUYS), Robert Vaughn (THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, THE MAN FROM UNCLE), Sam Jaffee (GUNGA DIN, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL), Jeff Corey (LADY IN A CAGE), Marta Kristen::love:: (TERMINAL ISLAND, TV's LOST IN SPACE) and Sybil Danning::love::::love::, whose costume defies the laws of gravity and nature.
Some early work for James Cameron, Gale Ann Hurd, James Horner and Bill Paxton, who aided on carpentry/painting. ***

Loved it back when I saw it on TV as a kid. All the alien helpers are very different looking with different ships. Very cool.

That's the other James Cameron movie I need to check out. I recently saw Galaxy of Terror.

MAUSOLEUM (!983). After her Mother's funeral, a Young girl enters the family tomb ("Nomed"-get it?::confused::) and is afflicted by the family curse which doesn't rear its head until she is thirty and then all sorts of odd things happen.
While the premise of this isn't bad, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Many pointless scenes and a ending that leaves us scratching our heads. Bobbee Bresee is our Scream Queen and like many actresses in that category, a lot of nudity is shown, but her acting leaves a lot to be desired. Also, an appearance by LaWanda Page (Aunt Esther from SANFORD AND SON) who is funny, but the role is very typical of scared Black servant, which went out of vogue after Mantan Moreland.
So, pretty bad overall, but some decent murders, especially>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>SPOILERS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>
when Bobbie's husband (played by Marjoe Gortner from EARTHQUAKE and BOBBIE JO AND THE OUTLAW) is killed by her transforming into a demon and doing the job with slobbering biting boobies-Honest! *1/2

MOLLY AND LAWLESS JOHN (1972). OK western that has potential, but is too glacial to leave an impact. An unhappy/unappreciated wife (Vera Miles from PSYCHO) of the Town Sheriff (John Anderson, also from PSYCHO) falls for the sweet talk of a prisoner (Sam Elliot from FROGS), helps him escape and rides off to what she hopes will be a happier life.
As said, decent premise, but Molly (Vera) is a serious dingbat at times and Sam's character is a first rate Shitheel (although Sam was serious eye candy at the time...my wife likes MALJ quite a bit, especially for the shirtless bits). Also in the cast are Clu Gulagher (RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD) and lovely Cynthia Myers (PLAYBOY, BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS) in her last film. **1/2

Those are all amazing! They are even better than a lot of the more known serial killer films out there! The Black Cat from 1934 with Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi and Dario Argento's take on The Black Cat in Two Evil Eyes would make two more good additions to that list.

PAPER MOON (1973). Decent road movie of a small time Con Man (Ryan O'Neill) driving a little girl (His real life daughter Tatum, who won an Oscar for her role) -who may be his daughter- across the Midwest to relatives. Along the way, she joins him in the scams and proves to be equal if not better than Him.
Not as groundbreaking as back then, but wonderful B/W cinema photography by Lazlo Kovacs and a good supporting cast including Madeline Kahn, Randy Quaid, John Hillman and Art Ellison, who was the Minister in CARNIVAL OF SOULS. ***
