Halloween 78 - 10/10

So I'm sitting here watching Halloween and they thought suddenly occurred to me, how come dr. Loomis or the nurse that was with him didn't call the cops when Michael stole his car?

The power was off at the asylum. That's why all the patients were out in the rain wandering the grounds. The doors were all unlocked. I would assume the phones were cut also and Michael stole their car. Loomis had to wait til he could get to a phone booth. I could be morphing them all together but pretty sure this happened in the first one.

Yeah you're right. I guess I missed the part about the power being out. I wonder where he got that second car from though because I saw the scene where he called from the phone booth where coincidentally the dead tow truck driver laid. it was just something I never really thought of before I mean I have watched this movie more than any other horror movie in my life but it never occurred to me until now why he waited so Long to contact anyone considering the nurse probably needed medical attention.
