Quite charming, really.

I read a little review of the film, and they suggested the film was an effective anti-war statement. What do ya think?

FRIGHT NIGHT (1985). Watched this yesterday and all of this recent talk of it! Still think this is a fantastic film and one I can watch constantly. The sequel was alright, but nothing spectacular and maybe it's just the Curmudgeon in me, but could not abide the 2010 (?) remake.
Fond memories of seeing this the first time...had gotten married a few months back and living with In-Laws waiting for Mobile home to be ready. Thought it would be a week at most, but turned out to be two very long months::sad::, but that's another story.
Saw it at a matinee and pretty full house. We all were enjoying it, with many laughs, but the "Strangers in the Night" moment all but brought the house down and I knew I would really like this.
One of my first VHS and love the DVD, but really wish there was a commentary on it-sure it would be interesting.
Still and always *****

Well, without giving too much of the plot away, i guess its really how the war affected one family. At some points though, the military was reflected in a positive light.

Nekromantik (1987)
I.M.D.B.
A street sweeper who cleans up after grisly accidents brings home a full corpse for him and his wife to enjoy sexually, but is dismayed to see that his wife prefers the corpse over him.

Not much to say about it really. Dumb, low budget movie. Only real appeal is the ridiculousness of it.
3/10

The Devil's Widow was awesome..lots of beautiful british countryside and a pretty funky story and soundtrack.

The Stone Tape was a bit stodgy but alright.

LOl! that's the best review I've read all week. You are too funny!

Oh, check this out! Here's a very, very rare Radio Ad for "The Devil's Widow". I think this is both hilarious and great!
