Talked to the vet this morning and I'm devastated. I can't stop crying. He has pancreatitis and will probably have to be put to sleep this week.

I'm so sorry to hear about all of this TM, and wish that there was something I could say to make you feel better. Unfortunately, it's never quite that simple :( Losing a pet is no less difficult sometimes than losing a person.

You'll be in my thoughts....and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we're all here to help you get through this to the best of our ability. Anytime you wanna vent, talk, whatever...just let it go :)

Thanks so much MoonLit. This is really difficult for me because he's my baby (hence my screen name). We've been through a lot together, mainly getting away from the man who abused both of us. He wasn't satisfied with abusing me, he had to abuse my cat, too.

i went through the same thing last summer .. i wasnt particularily close to the cat and it still bothered me a great deal ...

this thread is very interesting - everyone should check out the development - its strange to see how many people have come and gone . . .
